WOW! It is big in the 2017 JKU dash. Had it professionally installed as wanted it done right by an approved Alpine installer. It exceeds what I wanted but being water resistant and the ability to add additional modules to increase capability is what pushed me to finally purchase it. Definitely is not cheap and keeping fingers crossed it will last longer than the radios offered with Jeeps. There is a lot of menus to scroll through but are easy to navigate. The only bad thing I can say about it is how to access the settings menu. You have to apply the parking brake twice and leave it on to change settings. Not sure why it was done that way but do understand for use of the DVD player requiring the parking brake set.

Nice fit, looks sleek and for me has not slid around dry or wet. Still kind of weary about dropping. With the Note8 having the infinity screen, the curved class portion could be susceptible to damage. With that I also had the curved glass protector mounted at time of Note purchase. The stand is a benny for use but has a limited range of movement so to watch a movie or videos, phone would need to be located about mid-chest high and roughly 12 to 18 inches minimum away to see (that is just me and my eyes so will be different for others). Weight did not seem to increase as drastically as other protectors do.

So far so good. Did have updates being required so some unexpected wait time upfront. Only off thing I can say is to not read what the Asus overview page lists or the specifications page. This does not come loaded with 2 SSD card slots, only 1 SSD and it is not NVMePCIx4, just a PCIe3 slot. No fault to Best Buy, bad site lay-out/advertising by Asus. On a good note, this laptop is seriously fast and no glitches or issues since it was delivered. Fast delivery from Best Buy. Boot-up is so fast I have not been able to access the bios to do any tweeking. No online gaming done yet (internet is too slow) but for games played graphics are excellent and no jitters or fading that I can tell but when your trying to not be taken down while battling, probably not something you will be looking for. I also purchased an external Blu-ray read/write and have had no issues playing full screen 1080P movies.

Overall, it does what the summary states for the areas I have used. It plays CDs, DVDs and Blu Rays with no issue on movies I have played. 4 stars as I had to download a firmware update and a utility to make it work properly. Will see how well it writes next to different type CD media.
