Great recorder. Has the USB interface that cheaper Sony recorders lack.... must for permanently saving MP3s.
Line in mic works, but onboard one is very good.

What's great about it: Long running. Great mic sensitivity. Good for clandestine recording.
What's not so great: Not much, could use an easier track splitter.

Can the recordings be transferred to your computer?
Not on the cheap Sony's. That feature will cost you. The packaging should be more explicit that certain models do not have a USB interface. Antiquated.

Password / PIN protection?
Hello,
I am wondering if any of Sony, Olympus, or Philips voice (audio) recorders have a function to lock the device - ie. password/PIN protection, so that if someone picked it up, they wouldn't be able to access the files (kind of like an iPhone lock).
