The 4k quality isn't diminished from the video source all the way thru the receiver and onto my 4k tv. I was skeptical when I purchased the stabilizer, I figured how much could the video improve? I was in for an awesome surprise. The video looks smooth and battery life is decent. No more headaches when watching jarring videos. The handheld control is very simple to operate, facing the camera and shifting from a locking onto a subject or locking and moving the camera's direction is very simple...the touch of a button. The weight and size of the camera is the only issue but in reality for the stability you get it's worth the purchase. The only downside is the recharge time thru the usb cable...it takes for ever which will be a nuisance when on vacation and u need quick turn around time to get back out there. I wish they would include a wall charger for that price but overall a very sturdy well built stabilizer.

flashy but lacks low tech solutions

I have used the remote for the last few mionths and overall im quite happy with it but it does have it's short comings. The fvr controls at the top of the remote make for a very awkward grip and are not easily reachable. The skip ahead 30 seconds button was replaced by f-forward button which also takes some getting used too, even tho you can press it for longer and get a forward 30 sec skip but it takes timing to get it right. The page up page down button was also removed, you can add the option as a touchscreen button but it does not make it convenient or practical as you have to swipe a few times to get to it and second of all depending on the size of your thumb you can press other touchscreen buttons instead of the page up page down. overall it s a nice techie option and i would definitely recommend it if you can get it on sale for 99.99 not the 299 price tag.
