being disabled, the one thing i do not look forward to is installing the side panels. this was easy with this a/c. it just slides into slot. bought it for my mom, works great. filter is a slide out from right side near front. you do not have to remove front panel..

Does it have option to operate with a closed or open vent?
no, it does not. it seems most a/c's do not have this option which stinks on nights it goes down to 50's outside....

This question is for any laptop purchased from BB, not just this one. If I buy a laptop now with Win 8 loaded on it is there a deal where I can upgrade to 10 for free when it's released?
yes, it pops up in a window. but, i rather wait until bugs are fixed. every time they upgraded a version of windows there were bugs. tho, i do have to read more into the fact it is supposed to protect against viruses and adware..
