Be(a)st portable Bluetooth speaker

Sony XG300 is the latest portable Bluetooth speaker from Sony. It is compact, with a sleek and modern design. The retractable rubber handle to hold and carry the speaker along with the fabric cover adds a rugged look to the speaker. The box includes USB C cable and the AC power adapter. The charging port is housed at the back of the speaker and has a door to cover them. There is also a USB A port to charge other devices. The speaker is primarily connected and controlled via Bluetooth, but you do have the option to plug in an Aux cable for a wired connection. There is a dedicated Battery Care button that will help extend the battery life by only allowing to charge the speaker to 90%. Make sure you download the Sony Music Center app to control the speaker and customize your settings.
There is an LED ring light on the side of the speaker. It provides ambient lighting and can be synchronized with your music. If you have compatible speakers (max one hundred), you can set them up in party mode where all your speakers will play the same music as well as the lights synchronize up. The battery life is amazing, rated at 25 hours. I was able to use it for a few hours a day and didn't need to recharge for a week. It depends on your usage and other settings, plus a quick 10 min charge gives you an hour of playback time. The speaker also has a microphone, which comes in handy to be used for calls when paired with your phone. It wasn't bad when I tried it for few calls and Sony has incorporated Echo Cancelling technology to that.
This speaker is rated IP67, which means you can carry it to the beach and parks and make it waterproof and dustproof. The power button as well as music control button on the speaker itself comes in handy for skipping tracks as well as volume control without opening the app on your phone. If you are looking for a portable speaker in this range and size, XG300 is the best that is out there, and I would definitely recommend it.

Comprehensive robot cleaning bundle

I have used iRobot's robot vacuum before, but this is my first-time using robot mop. These are standalone items, and not a combo of vacuum and mop in one, which is better. The overall packaging was neat, and unboxing was easy. The vacuum and the mop come in separate packages inside the big box. Setting up both items was a breeze. Make sure to download iRobot Home app and connect both to Wi-Fi to install any software updates before you start your full setup. The app allows for customizations like scheduling, naming rooms, map marking, etc.
The Roomba i3+ has incredibly good suction power to vacuum your entire home and pull in the dirt seamlessly. It has the functionality to map your entire home. Make sure to do that first so you can tell your robot vacuum where to clean and when to clean by marking the areas on the app. You can also use Alexa or Google Assistant for voice commands and integrate with your smart home. The robot can empty itself at the dirt disposal base which is designed to hold up to 60 days of dirt.
For the Braava robot mop, you need to attach the pad before you start cleaning. The robot mop is smart enough to know which pad is attached and the app will tell you what mode of cleaning it can do. The mop uses precision jet to spray cleaning solution and electrostatic force to sweep and dry the area. The mop can also map your entire house and you can schedule the run. Battery life on this seems to be much better than the vacuum based on each run life.
Both robot vacuum and mop do an excellent job of cleaning your entire space. They can be used together or separately. I like that you can also set the mop to run right after the vacuum has been done. I wish they both shared the same map, but instead you must have each map its own area. I would recommend this bundle to anyone looking for a complete smart cleaning solution for their home.

Smart air purifier with high quality

Bespoke Cube is Samsung's newest air purifier. The colorful stylish design of the air purifier blends with the home decor. The setup was so easy, just insert the included filters and you are done. The cube is recommended for up to 350 Sq. Ft. rooms, which I used in my living room, and it covered the area surprisingly good. It is so quiet; you will barely notice any noise even at higher speeds. Using the SmartThings app, you can control this purifier, get notifications, check the air quality, etc. There is a display at the top right section of the front panel that shows the air quality, operating mode, and filter color indicator.
The air purifier has a powerful 5-way suction in the rear to intake the air and circulates the cleaner air from the front panel for all around purification. The multi layered HEPA filtration system includes dust collecting filter, pet deodorization filter, pre-filter, and a pest mesh filter and combinedly remove any unpleasant odors while trapping dust. The Pet mode comes in handy if you have pets. It is supposed to remove pet hair and any odors. I like the fact that it has a Micro Air sensor that detects dust particles as well as identifying gas contamination.
The filters can get expensive depending on your usage. They can last up to a year. The app will let you know when it is time to replace them as well. The front panel on the cube is interchangeable. If you are ever bored of the design, you can update it with a different color and pattern. Overall, this is one of the best high quality air purifiers and I highly recommend it.

Quality headset with clear audio for all day use

Plantronics Voyager 4310 is the latest wireless noise cancelling single ear headset from Poly. It comes with a boom mic, which works flawlessly and picks up clear audio while you speak. The boom extension can be rotated so you can wear the headset on either side of the ear. There is a red button on the boom for quick mute/unmute option. While using it for my Teams and Zoom call, others could hear me clearly without any background noise, thanks to the noise cancelling mic on the boom. On the headset, you have volume up and down controls as well as LED light that indicates call status.
The headset can be connected to the PC directly via Bluetooth 5.2 or using the USB adapter. You can also use the headset in wired mode using the USB cable. Using the USB adapter provides you with the farthest Bluetooth connection range, while direct connection isn't bad either. I am impressed with the overall battery life. The headset has a standby time of 50 days while the usage is rated at 47 hours. Another bonus is that you can charge it via USB C cable. I was able to use it entire week for my calls on a full charge. I like the dedicated Teams button on the headset. This comes in handy to bring up Microsoft Teams app, if you use it for work.
Download Poly Lens app to update headset firmware, change settings, battery life, as well as use it to find your headset in case you misplaced it. Overall, this is a quality headset with nice features and versatile design for all day comfortable use.

Quality strip light with bright LEDs

Govee - Wi-Fi RGBIC LED Strip Light is a well-made quality product that can add brightness to any room. The setup was a breeze and the LEDs on this strip are very bright. You need to download the Govee Home app to control various settings, update firmware (which there was), as well as for some custom DIY modes. The app was surprisingly easy to set up and use with so many available features. The strip comes with strong adhesive on the back that holds the strip in place. You can also use the additional clips for mounting options.
The lights can be controlled via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth options. You also have the option to control the LEDs via Alexa or Google Assistant. I wish there was Siri integration for Apple ecosystem users, but I haven't seen that in this category. There is an inline control box that you can use to power these lights as well as cycle through the colors. Another cool feature I like about this strip light is that it syncs with your music and changes the LED lights. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add quality lights to brighten their space.

Compact, Rugged, and Fast SSD

This is the latest external SSD from Samsung that is built to withstand dust, water, and survive a 9.8-foot drop, with an IP65 rating. The drive supports USB 3.2 Gen 2, that means you can transfer files up to 10Gbps speed and is compatible with Windows and Mac, as well as with iPad and gaming consoles as external storage. The SSD itself has a USB C port, but it comes with USB C to C cable and USB C to A cable for backward compatibility and to plug in to USB A compatible devices.
The SSD itself is very compact in size, convenient when traveling. The drive's rubber exterior shell protects and maintains the performance by controlling the heat dissipated. I like that this SSD supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption, thanks to Samsung's Portable SSD Software. I wish the warranty on this would be a bit longer, compared to just three years, but that is a minor gripe. If you are looking for a rugged, durable, and secure drive that can handle day to day toughness, then this drive fits that picture.

Comfortable earbuds with amazing sounds

Adidas Z.N.E. 01 ANC True Wireless Earbuds are premium build headphones with great sound quality. The charging case as well as the earbuds have rugged texture for comfortable gripping. In the box, included are the charging case, earbuds, three Eartips, USB-C charging cable, and quick start guide. Once you find your right Eartip size, the earbuds sit comfortably in your ears. These are IPX5 rated, which means it is sweat proof and water resistant and can be primarily used during workout. The earbuds are supposed to last around 4.5 hours on a single charge with the case providing an additional 15.5 hours of usage.
As with most of the newer headphones on the market, you need to download Adidas app to setup and pair with your device. The app is very well made, and you can use it to tweak sound profiles and change ANC settings. I was able to pair with my iPhone easily and used it for FaceTime and WhatsApp calls with clear audio. Bluetooth 5.2 provides great distance coverage as well as no signal loss when moving away from the phone. I like the individual earbud use so you can extend the overall usage time. Overall, these are awesome headphones with great sound quality and comfortable wear.

Budget friendly Wi-Fi 6 mesh router

Motorola MH7603 is the latest Wi-Fi 6 mesh router with speeds up to 1 Gigabit. This 3-pack unit came with 3 nodes, 3 Ethernet cables, 3 USB C AC adapters. You can use one of the nodes as the main router and the other 2 nodes are set up as extenders, creating the mesh network that covers your entire house without any dead spots. The design is simple yet robust and blends in with household items as part of the decor.
The first thing you need to do before you start the setup is to download the motosync app for your iOS or Android device and create an account, without which you cannot configure this router. The app is well built and does a surprisingly good job of guiding you through the process. To set up a router, you will need to scan the barcode at the bottom of the node. Once that is done, you can setup as extenders by scanning the barcodes under additional nodes. The LED light on the node represents the status during setup as well we when connected. The app is powerful enough to manage the settings for your network but could provide more options for advanced users as there is no web interface you can login for console management either.
The unit supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and delivers up to 574 Mbps and 1200 Mbps, respectively. Since I do not have a Gigabit connection, I was only able to test the limits with my internet connection speed and was happy that the mesh system was able to maintain those speeds steadily throughout my house with strong signals. Each node only comes with 2 Ethernet ports, so you might want to use a switch if you have lot of wired devices.
Consider investing in this if you are in the market for a budget friendly mesh router system or just getting into mesh Wi-Fi networking.

Premium laptop with beautiful screen

ASUS - Zenbook Flip 2-in-1 is a lightweight laptop that comes with an OLED touch screen and other notable features. With the stylish sleek design, you can feel the premium build quality of the laptop as you hold it in your hands. The packaging itself was neat and simple. The box includes the laptop, power adapter with proprietary charging port, and the quick start guide. Being a 2-in-1, you can use the laptop in various modes, like a tablet, tent mode, or the usual laptop mode.
The Zenbook's display is stunning. It comes with a 120Hz 15.6" OLED touch screen panel with thin bezels that provides edge to edge viewing. The screen is beautiful, it brings life to the content on the screen. Make sure to change the default display settings to experience this. The Windows 11 setup is a breeze. When you power on the laptop, you can hear built-in Alexa help you with the laptop setup. This is more like a nice to have feature as not everyone would prefer a voice assistant always on.
The laptop comes with Intel Evo 12th Gen Core i7 processor with the powerful integrated Iris Xe GPU. The included 16GB of RAM is enough to handle serious work as well as gaming. The only downside is that the RAM is not upgradeable as it is soldered, and no additional slots are available. As for the storage, it comes with 512 GB SSD, which is not bad. Pair it with cloud storage, then this is a non-issue. The good thing is that you can upgrade the SSD for larger storage.
Given the light weight and how thin this laptop is, I was surprised that it had plenty of ports. You get a USB-A port, 2 USB-C ports with thunderbolt support and power delivery. There is also a full-size HDMI port, headphone jack, micro-SD card reader, and the DC charging port. Although you can use the USB-C to charge this laptop, I would have preferred that to be the default option instead of the proprietary fast charger. As for the wireless connections, the laptop comes with the latest Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 adapters.
The battery life on this laptop is amazing. A full charge gets you almost 10+ hours of continuous use. This is also a requirement for EVO certification along with the instant wake up and the fast charging. The keyboard layout is pretty decent too, it comes with 10-key input and is extremely comfortable.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a premium laptop with awesome features, whether it is for work, creativity, or just media consumption.

Great scanner for documents and old photos

This dedicated photo and document scanner from Canon is almost perfect to convert old photos into digital files. This is also good for scanning business files, receipts, tax, and legal documents. The device itself was not too big and the setup was a breeze. You do need to download the required software mentioned in the included instructions. I like the automatic double-sided scanning. You can also stack multiple photos, but it works best when you scan the same size photos. The scanner is capable of handling assorted sizes via the document feeder.
The best feature is you can scan the photos and store them on your PC or store them to your cloud storage drives using the Canon CaptureOnTouch software. The scanner supports up to 1200 dpi. The software also provides some enhancement features. I liked the Auto Photo fix and Fading correction that enhances some of the old photos in my archive. I wish it had wireless capabilities so you can use it with any device on the network. Overall, this is an awesome scanner that brings your old photos to life digitally.

The IR camera is used solely for the Windows Hello feature. There is another front camera that you can use it for your video chatting and other applications.

can I add ram to a surface pro 4 that only has 4gigs
You cannot add any RAM to the Surface pro 4. You have to remove the back casing in order to do so and by doing that, you will be voiding the warranty. If you are looking for an everyday device with not so heavy applications, 4GB is sufficient. If you planning to run heavy applications/games, then I would recommend the 8GB model.
