is this hard drive compatible with Windows 10? I don't want a lot of drama, calling tech support, downloading drivers, etc. I just want to plug it into a Windows 10 Dell and back up my data.
I have been using this product for months on several different Dell desktop and HP laptops PCs running Windows 10. They work great. I have also done restores to verify complete functionality. When you plug it into a USB port, you're given the option to install the software from the drive to your PC. Setup is pretty straightforward and use is simple. You can ether use scheduled backups or On Demand.

If you installed the supplied NTI Backup Now EZ software, invoke it and select the question mark within a white circle in the upper right hand corner of the panel. That will give you the help member, which you can print.

how can I view the files I have save to the Toshiba
I have done a complete backup and would now like to view my files. I can't find them.
If you used the (enclosed) NTI Backup Now EZ software to do the backup, invoke the software (should be an icon on your desktop if you specified it during the software install) and look at the icons at the bottom right of the panel that comes up. The far left one should be a circle with a piece of paper under a magnifying glass. Click on this and it will give you the files on the backup drive.

I have used the WD 1TB drives with several Dell OptiPlex 745 desktops and I am quite sure it would be compatible with ANY Dell desktop that has a SATA connection. It is 1TB, not 1GB.
