Best Bluetooth Speaker

To whom is in doubt, just buy it! It will amaze you for its size.
I had my doubts and I was between the Bose Sound Mini II(which I bought for my dad), Harman Kardon One, Sony X33, and JBL Charge 2+. The sound of the Flip3 was on par with the Bose and Charge 2+, better than the Sony and Harman Kardon. The sound was clear and could hear all the right notes, with a hint of bass from drums and guitars. The battery life is great too, better than the Bose, can say much about the rest. I think that for the size and money its the best one of the bunch available at BestBuy.

Note: UE Boom2 is another contender, even though it plays louder the sound is nowhere near the clarity and harmony the JBL provides.

My brother recommended me to buy this device, at first I was skeptical something so cheap could work this good. Too good to be true? Nonetheless, I made the purchase to give a test, and can only say that this is a must have in your living room. My family all seem to enjoy it since we can put funny Youtube videos on the TV and movies from Netflix! No additional devices, so power efficient. Before we had to turn the Playstation on and use the quirky system to pick movies, now its much more simple to pick them from a smartphone!

I personally like a good sounding HIFI, but when in the go, portability is king. I was hesitant that this tiny speaker would sound this good, it has great mid and high tone reproduction plus a little bass. Great for the beach, pool or outdoor picnic. Don't waste your moneys on waterproofing or other features, who is going to swim with their Bluetooth speaker? Go for better sound and volume with BOSE!
BTW I tried the JBL Charge, it was great too, but lacked the bass this one has. That was one of the reason I chose the BOSE over the JBL.

They sound great for the money, and the fact that they do not have a remote is a plus for me, because it does not get in the way of me just enjoying my music!

I bought a similar product from Amazon, but this one just looks better and feels better to the touch. The magnets are strong but can sometimes fall off in the iPad stand position.The screen protection is great and the microfiber back keeps it clean.

How does the JBL Charge 2+ compare to the Charge 3?
I hope you mean the Charge 2+ vs the Flip3? If you do, I personally the sound is very similar if not the same. Your volume level is where they might differ a little and the fact the Charge 2+ has a much bigger battery - so it lasts longer! Hope that clears any doubts.

How much does it weigh and is it dual voltage 110/220?
I would say it weight about half pound, give or take. Well to charge it, you need either a PC or a USB charger like your phone charger. It uses a Micro-USB cable that comes included and is very similar to those used by most cellphones.

Before I purchase, how long does the charge last? How do you recharge? How do you replace ION battery?
The charge in my experience has lasted somewhere between 10 and 11 hours. This was at half volume and with a full charge. You cannot replace the batteries, but I guess if you ever have issues you will need to contact JBL. It comes with a USB cable to charge it with your PC or a USB charger. You can even charge it the car with a USB Adapter, since it uses a Micro-USB cable similar to those used by Samsung devices.

Will it work with a computer monitor?
Yes, but only to stream Google Chrome websites. There is a Google Chrome extension for Chromecast which allows any PC or Mac to stream content through the web browser.

Can I stream Skype from my smart phone to big screen TV via this Chromecast ?
No, the chromecast was only designed to stream media content from the likes of Spotify, Netflix, and Youtube. This device cannot Skype, since it lacks a camera, microphone, and the other capabilities requieres for a Video conference call

No, the Amazon prime app on Android and Apple devices does not have the function to stream to a Chromecast. There is a workaround, which is to use the Google Chrome extension of Chromecast on any PC or Mac and stream the content through there...

Is the mini really that much better then the color, or that much of a step down from soundlink III?
Its way better than the colors, because of the bass the mini can hold. Volume wise is better too, I think its a well packaged speaker for the size.
Step-down from the Soundlink? That is a bit more complex, short answer is YES! Long version, you have better volume and cleaner highs plus way more bass in the Soundlink. You do loose some portability and more weight to carry around. It depends on your main purpose, for Sound quality the Soundlink hands down the best. For travel, camping, pool, beach, etc. the Mini is the better choice. The Mini has a little more battery life.
If you want sound quality and don't care that much about portability, also consider the Harman Kardon Onyx.

Can charger be charged in Thailand or do I need to use an adaptor?
When traveling is always safer to buy a travel adapter, this days they go for $20. Worth the investment if you ever travel again... they have all the plugs for Asia, Europe, Australia. If you love your electronics do them a favor and protect them!
