We've had On star for nine years now and use it for traveling. We were flying to Portland and obviously couldn't take on star with us! The downside to on star! So we bought this Garmin which was on sale and at the recommendation of the Best buy associate.
OMG... This thing is Awesome and in my opinion far out performed on star! In fact we are "Cancelling" on star and only going to use this! Wish we had this model years ago, it would have saved us over $4,000.00 ...
You just can't believe all the features it has! That on star Doesn't!!!

Be Careful With New Hard Drive Guys!!!

I had an external hard drive fail on me so i took it to Best Buy so they could put the old data from the failed drive onto a new external that i bought from them after they told me it wouldn't be a problem because they could see the old data so it should transfer without a problem.
They told me it would be ready the next day because no one was ahead of me. The next day i called them and was told they hadn't started yet because it turned out there was someone ahead of me (no problem). Then i was contacted the next day and told the data could not be transferred because there was something physically wrong with the hard drive and quoted me this "outrageous price" to send it off!
I said i'll just pick it up. I went and retrieved my old and new hard drive.
Wheni got home i removed the NEW hard drive from the box and saw the sides were all scratched up! I Mean Really Scratched Up! Evidently from being slid around on their workbench! I take really Good care of my stuff and for my New hard drive to arrive back to me in this condition tells me they weren't very careful with it! Do they treat everybodys stuff that way!?
IT was Very Aggravating and i almost took it back and asked for a New One that wasn't All Scratched Up! It made me Wonder if they even gave me the New one back or one they had laying around! Luckily i was able to confirm thru serial number it Was the New One because i had registered it before taking it to them. I put it behind my monitor so i didn't have to see the scratches because i'd be mad everytime i saw it!
A little caution goes a long way to show professionalism Guys!!!

How do I know that my XP can use type A flash drive?
