I am so glad I had a Roomba before this, because if this Samsung was my first robot vacuum, I would think they are all just sub-par. This vacuum could run no longer than 20-30 minutes at a time, meaning our open floor plan was never cleaned fully (but the Roomba could do it). The height was just low/high enough that it constantly got stuck under our dressers and end tables. It would get under them, but couldn't get back out. I gave it a small space to clean where cracker crumbs were, and it gave its completion noise while crumbs were still all around (in a 3 foot by 2 foot space). The container that holds the dust, etc. is located on top of the vacuum, which seemed convenient, until dust, etc. starts to fall out of the container when you take it off, and then you have to clean out that space before replacing the container, an annoying extra step not needed for the Roomba as the trash container slides off the back instead of off the top, so any extra dust or trash just falls out, rather than onto the vacuum. Even bringing the vacuum to the charger was a pain and took forever for it to connect correctly to the base to start charging. The Roomba has a handle for picking it up to bring to a room. No handle on the Samsung, and when you pick it up, it starts playing an annoying tune. The Samsung didn't go on some of my rugs that the Roomba was fully able to, maybe the camera thought the edge was an object and avoided it. The Samsung came with nothing in the box to make a barrier (the Roomba comes with a device to set up to keep the Roomba out of a certain room, or away from dog bowls, etc.). Suffice to say, I was really hoping the Samsung was actually better than the Roomba because of the camera it has. In experience, it was much, much worse and I was more than anxious to return it and go with the Roomba 890 instead.
