I first tried the LIFX light strip and it kept disconnecting from WiFi so I returned it. I got the Hue light strip plus during Black Friday sale and love it. I’ve placed behind sofa for now and it adds nice ambient lighting I can match to decor. I have it voice controlled with both Alexa and Siri with Hue bridge I also got on sale with 4 light bulbs.

Im using the firetv with my ultra HD tv and it works great and will automatically display available HD content when im within apps like Amazon Prime and Netflix. Im hope Google does not remove the YouTube app from the firetv since i watch alot of Youtube videos. The ego war between Amazon and Google is stupid and only hurts us consumers. Its the reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Got this tv during Black Friday deals to replace 12 year old LG tv. The older one worked fine except it put out too much heat and not HD. I love this new LG - no heat, super light, awesome picture with both 4K and non 4k programs. The OS is really good with free LG shows and content. The tv is very customizable with easy menu system and setup. It is controllable through wifi so i can use Alexa with it and use automations using free app AnyMote. The only thing missing is HDR but i knew that when purchasibg and reason for very good deal on it.

I really like the look of this case with the blue stripe down the side. The back is clear and allows the Apple logo to show. I would like it to fit a little tighter on the sides so it doesn’t squish in when I grab it tightly. It’s very snug it just feels like it squishes in. Great receiver and price (no bells & whistles)

I needed a 7.1 receiver to hook up my home theatre and all the built in speakers my new home came with. The price for this one was a 1/4th of the other ones that came with ethernet, wifi and built in apps for Pandora and Netflix. However, I plugged a Google Chromecast into one of the open HDMI ports and now I run all my apps to my TV wirelessly including HBO Go and Pandora and YouTube. I run the apps from my iPhone or iPad via my wifi network. I'm very happy with getting what I needed from this receiver without having to pay more for the functionality I was able to add on with the Chromecast for only $35.
What's great about it: Great sound for home theatre
What's not so great: Does not have the extras like wifi, bluetooth or apps like Pandora
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you need to have amazon prime to use the Fire TV Box or is the regular amazon account ok?
You plug it in using USB connection and power adapter. Then you view Amazon content and movies using Amazon Prime. You can load other apps on it like Hulu, DirectVNow, YouTube, Netflix etc to stream tv shows and movies. Its a way to drop cable to watch tv using only internet connection. You can use regular Amazon account but then you cannot see Amazon movies for free. You can pay per movie to watch.

The directions are horrible I can't get the apps up, can't get it to connect to wireless, the picture is blurry.... and is it normal to have to use the tv remote for sound, but the cable remote to change stations? Ridiculous! Help
Hi the apps are ok on smart tvs but i tend to use an Amazon Firetv/ stick or Roku or AppleTV since the OS are much better. You can setup your cable remote to fully control the tv including volume. I have ATT Uverse. The apps on the LG UltraHD are very good but again I use the other Apps through connected devices using one of the USB ports.
