I bought my first Garmin about 3-4 years ago. I was going to update the software, but was going to have to buy a cable to connect to my computer because I lost the one that came with it. It was cheaper to buy the updated model that has free updates. I am very pleased with the Garmin GPS and would definitely recommend it.
