This album is good, but it is not their best. The sound is a bit muffled and lacks the catchiness of their previous releases. There are a few really good tracks though that make it worth buying.
After the last Manson album, I got worried that Manson got a little soft. This album has brought the heaviness back. A good, dark album with some solid tracks.
For me, the best Darkness album is their first one. They've put out some good, solid albums over the years, but I feel that this is their weakest. I still like it, but it doesn't rock as much as their others.
Beck has always put out solid albums. Some of them focus on Beck's soft side and this one does not. This is probably Beck's most upbeat sounding album. Some great tracks and an overall excellent album.
This band never disappoints. They've experimented with different sounds over the years, but I think that this time around they've morphed a few of them for a great release.
Let me say this first...I really like this album. But with all the talent in this band, I expected to be completely blown away and I wasn't. I guess my expectations were just too high. The two disc version contains instrumentals of all the tracks and is actually a great album in itself.
