Got this for my dad's birthday as an upgrade from an older Toshiba he had. SSD really makes the most difference in speed. the 2-in-1 design makes it convenient for him to watch his shows. Laptop is light for 15.6, well made and came with minimum of junk-ware for me to remove. Windows Hello works well, making it one less thing for my dad to deal with at logon.

Light minimalist case

Probably the minimal S8 case out there. Feels good in the hand, buttons work well. Has slightly raised lip at the top and bottom so that phone does not sit on the glass if placed face down. Almost no protection on the edges, but with this curved design, I doubt any case will save from impact there. This case is exactly what I wanted so I am happy with it.

Amazing Machine

This machine is absolutely amazing. Very well put together, screen is great - technicolor certified and very bright. Infrared camera for Windows Hello is reliable and makes logging in very quick, I basically abandoned my fingerprint reader - that's how well it works. Machine is plenty fast and I am able to play my favorite games in full resolution, with all settings maxed and anti-aliasing enabled (Sim City, Cities Skyline, Starcraft 2, Ori And The Blind Forest). It's very good for work, since the resolution is 2K (2560x1440) - it basically works as well as a dual monitor set up with Windows+Left/Right shortcuts to dock windows and split screen. It also runs at 100% zoom (windows DPI scaling) avoiding the blurriness and artifacts that are the case with some apps when running other zoom factors, which is why I avoid 4K (HDPI) displays. Plenty of power with i7 (35Watt), 16GB RAM and NVMe SSD. Speakers are pretty good too for desktop usage.

Is this 3.1 USB compatable or just 2.0?
It should support 3.1 assuming both of the devices (micro and C) side support it.

The original answer to my question was only partially answered. Are the grids for the Black & Decker - Double Flip Waffle Maker removable for deeper cleaning?

Do you have to make two waffles at the same time? What if I just want one, will the other grid be burning as I'm making just one? Thanks!
I don't believe you have to make two at the same time. I did run the unit empty for a while, prior to cooking the first batch to get it to burn in and there was no particular smoke or any ill effect
