Deep Purple’s latest release “?!” is an excellent listening pleasure that only gets better with repeated listening! Which is probably partially due to the fact that studio genius Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper,etc..) is at the controls. All of these songs would be right at home on any of their past studio albums. If you like your rock and roll tinted purple, then check “?!” Out today!
The British hard rock band The Darkness have again showed rock fans that they are poised to become the next rock and roll sensation with this latest rock tour de force “Pinewood Smile”!
Always plenty of Queenesque harmony vocals, and AC\DCish guitar crunches! And this latest album is certainly no exception! Get it and rock out tonight! Guaranteed to raise a “Pinewood Smile”!! So to speak!
Ray Wylie Hubbard is a country/blues songwriter that once you hear him sing, you will not forget the sound, as he sounds unlike any country, blues, or honky tonk troubadour you’ve ever listened to. This new album may not contain anything as catchy as “Snake Farm” but it has track after track of good, solid, blues based, foot stomping, feel good, rockers! If you havent yet heard Mr. Hubbard, then you are really in for a treat! Pick up a copy of this latest release today! You won’t be disappointed!
This was a disc that was a mystery, as Big Star were a familiar band to me, but former guitarist Chris Bell only recorded one full album with them, and most of the studio work came from sessions he worked on before he he had even founded that band. But, was pleasantly surprised with these previously unreleased tracks from this underrated, gone too soon guitarist from Memphis Tennessee. Do yourself a favor and dig into deep to these buried treasures from the past.
Deep Purple we’re not larking about when they went into the studio to record this monster disc of first class Deep Purple, rock and roll genius. Purple lead guitarist, Steve Morse really shines througout, playing blistering guitar solo, one after the other, Purple frontman, Ian Gillian also sounds in tremendous form, as do bassist Roger Glover, and stick man Ian Paice punding the calf skins and cymbals as furiously as ever. Veteran keyboardist Jon Lord also making his organ scream and pound out a furious sound as well. Standout opening track “Ted The Mechanic” grabs ahold of you, and then Deep Purple never let up any of the intensity! If you are a fan of DP, check this Purpendicular album out at once!!
Former Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant is back, and he indeed does it again! He has delivered yet another jewel, in his collective, rock and roll hall of fame crown! Do not hesitate to purchase a copy of this latest throwback, to his golden god, Led Zeppelin dancing days of yore!
I am a Dylan fan of sorts, but I think the "standard issues" he has grown fond of lately, are starting to grow a bit stale. I personally yearn for another "original" material Dylan album, but I suppose these covers albums he's releasing nowadays, will simply have to do until he gets around to it. Hopefully he has another "Time Out Of Mind" or "Love & Theft" left in him, as I was a little disappointed in the last few original albums, "Tempest", and "Together Through Life" respectively. But, I would truthfully only recommend this new "Triplicate", three disc package, to the diehard Dylan fans. Like me.
First time I had heard about this new release from the great Deep Purple was seeing it on the shelf at Best Buy, but I decided to take a chance on it and boy am I glad I did! Awesome new tunes, and awesome production by the legendary Bob Ezrin, make "Infinite" their best album since their seventies heyday, and the included DVD documentary film, of the making of the album, is every bit as impressive as the new music! Do yourself a favor and buy Deep Purple's latest "Infinite" today.
This is a new release from criminally overlooked seventies band Big Star that I just stumbled upon while browsing online one day.
Big fan of this band but hadn't clue they were releasing this new package. If you are a fan of Big Star or just seventies music in general you will be as impressed as I was with this latest release.
