Season 9 of the Big Bang Theory is pretty much what you would expect. More of the fun and clever humor that all the previous seasons served up so well. If you're new to BBT, I would recommend starting at the beginning since the story has a definite arc. But if you've seen and enjoyed all the previous seasons, you won't want to miss this one.

The Marvel Comics movies are not meant to be taken seriously: they're just a lot of fun. Popcorn movies. Dr. Strange fits in this category —and what it does, it does extremely well. Pure entertainment. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton are both superb. The supporting cast are all fine, and the special effects make this a truly "trippy movie"!

Lovely adaptation of a meaningful book

"The Shack" tells a moving story about a man learning to find healing by discovering new ways to relate to God. While it is a meaningful book, it's not "great literature" (nor does it try to be). So the movie adaptation could have been a disaster, but it's actually quite lovely. All the actors bring the right blend of sincerity and gentleness to the role, and the story is presented in a way that is meaningful and thought-provoking. This is a faith-based movie and is not likely to win any converts, but again, that's not its purpose. It's meant to give people of faith something to think about, and it does that well, and beautifully.

Mr Bean is a classic of silly British comedy, so you probably already know whether you like the material or not. It's not for everybody, but those who like zany, goofy, and occasionally dark (but also sometimes sweet) comedy, this will probably make you chuckle. However, be warned that the packaging for this 4-CD set is very fragile and breaks easily. I'm deducting two stars for this.
