I spent quite a few weeks researching Fitbit and other brands to determine which had the best reviews and which would be the best for me. Because I'm petite, I felt the HR Charge would be a bit too big for me so I decided the Alta was the way to go. I'm so glad I did. It's a perfect size for me and I love all the features!

My husband and I have been searching for the perfect refrigerator for more than a year. We thought we wanted stainless, but then decided we didn't want the fingerprints that go along with it. Then we stumbled onto a refrigerator that had an additional ice maker in the bottom freezer. We use a lot of ice so this was a feature that was added to our required list. Unfortunately, we could only find it in stainless. We weighed the pros and cons and decided to wait. Fingerprints would bother me too much and I didn't want the added chore of wiping it down constantly. We are so glad we decided to wait because as we were walking through Best Buy one day we saw this baby! We LOVE everything about it!!

Does the Alta monitor heart rate and show burned calories according to heart rate?
The Alta does not have the hear rate feature.

Yes! And....it automatically displays the time/date when you look at the Alta. I love this feature!

does this alta have a vibrate for alarm like the fitbit flex?
Yes - I love that feature! You can program more than one alarm too.

Can you read the texts and does it say who's calling?
If the person calling is someone in your contacts it will display who is calling. Same for texts, although if it's a long text it won't display it in its entirety.
