I love this movie. Many people call it a cult classic. I love the character of Snake Plissken and Kurt Russell plays the role great. The movie looks great on Blu Ray.
Quick and reliable in any damp space, the Frigidaire 70-pint dehumidifier is effective in keeping attics, basements, bathrooms, and garages dry. Frigidaire’s 70 pints-per-day dehumidifier is capable of continuous operation when the unit is located near a suitable low-level drain. It features full-function electronic controls, an easily accessible collection container with level indicator, and a washable filter. Its Effortless Humidity Control allows you to control the exact percentage of humidity in your room. The SpaceWise portable design includes a top handle, integrated side handles, and caster wheels making it convenient to move your unit from room to room.
I have only had this for 2 months but so far it does it's job fantastic. Sucks the water out of the basement which of course is what the product should do. Easy to operate. Time will tell in the long run how good of a purchase it is depending on how long it runs before it breaks.
Kurt Russell is made for these western roles. Just like in the movie Tombstone he plays his part well in this movie. There is a real bizarre scene near the end of the movie that will give you the creeps. Don't want to spoil it for you but when you come across it you will know what I mean. All in all a movie worth watching at least once so if you can get it for a good price of say $5 give it a shot otherwise rent it.
For most movies it would be a good thing if they cut footage from the movie but not for this movie. The Rouge Cut contains excellent footage that should not have been deleted from the movie you saw in theaters. This footage makes the movie even better than it already is which is excellent without the extra footage. This version also contains the theatrical version so you watch both and decide yourself which you like better.
Milos Forman's award winning biopic Amadeus gets the deluxe two-disc treatment from Warner Brothers on this release. The film is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, and a second English soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but both English soundtracks are closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Forman and the writer Peter Shaffer, a making of documentary, and a theatrical trailer. This is the director's cut of the film that restores a sequence cut from the original theatrical release. This is an excellent DVD.
I am not seeing what the people saw in this movie in voting it an Oscar for best picture of 1984. Amadeus laugh drove me crazy throughout the movie. That said I have seen worse movies. I can only give this a fair rating. Maybe average at best but no higher for me.
Political thriller and moves along at a good pace.

I was looking for potential good movies that I had not watched and came across this movie. Checked it out from the Library and liked what I saw so much that I had to pick up a copy for my collection. In a nutshell the movie is about a freedom fighter that attempts to overthrow the British government. The movie keeps a good pace and kept me interested throughout.
A mystery movie from 1974. Lots of corruption (by guess who) the rich and powerful of Los Angles with an outstanding performance by Jack Nicholson as he uncovers the scandal.
I had such high hopes for this movie because Christoph Waltz is playing a villain in the movie. Alas he doesn't get the screen time he deserves and they don't develop his character very well. As far as the plot of the movie goes what is the plot? Not very well developed either. Still it is Bond and their is some great action in the movie but overall I would rate this in the Average to Good category (3 to 4 stars out of 5) but not one of the great ones. I put no down for my recommendation but if you are a Bond fan it is worth picking up and a course a Bond collector is going to buy it even if it sucks.
