Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston again are superb in their respective roles as Thor and Loki. Two things that would have made this movie better include the addition of the extended celebration scene as well as the extended battle scene in Vanaheim, as these scenes emphasized the bond between Thor, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun. The second would have been the rumored original ending that would have had Thor summon lightning from the Nine Worlds to destroy Malekith.
Eagerly awaiting Thor 3...
What's great about it: Great story, excellent action scenes, fast paced, and most important, entertaining.
What's not so great: Perhaps a bit too much comedy.
Thor is a phenomenal movie, Marvel's best movie to date. The majestic and grandeur of Asgard is obvious. The cast is superb with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. I have watched both the 2D and 3D versions. The 2D is flawless. The 3D has some great moments and some not so great effects (I probably am being kind here). The 3D could have been better, should have been better. Most of the deleted scenes would have made movie that already is great even better.
I highly recommend this movie. With regard to the 3D, it comes down to preference.
What's great about it: 2D - Everything. Superb acting by the three main characters, good story, great effects...
What's not so great: 3D could have been better, more consistent...
