If you enjoy all types of movies, then there is no reason not to love Kick-*ss. It has drama, comedy, action, great story. I may just be an action buff, but i'm calling it the best movie of the year right now. Hands down! There has been nothing else this year that has come close. This movie came out in April and I have been anticipating the release on dvd and blu ray. Probably a better deal to get the blu ray if you have a ps3, blu ray player, or are going to get one in the future when technology changes again. It's only five dollars more than the dvd and it's a combo pack with the blu ray, and dvd, and digital copy for your ipod.
Alright, for people like me, who seen the trailer a while ago and thought about seeing it, but was iffy on it. Not knowing what type of movie it would be. If it were Action, Comedy, etc. Let me repeat myself when I say it is all of the above and surpassed any expectations I may have had for this film. I went into the theater thinking it would be just another comedy like role models, step brothers, etc. It was. Just a little bit more graphic. A little more to the point of reality. Of what WILL happen if you go up to people with a costume on. You'll get stabbed, and you'll be wowed by the intensity of it. Luckily for Kick-*ss, he has Hit Girl and Big Daddy to back him up so he doesn't get himself killed. But I love the message he sends.
Finally, lets move onto the two who made the film awesome. Chloe Moretz...Hit Girl and Nicolas Cage...Big Daddy. The two were a riot! Nicolas Cage plays a father who deemed revenge for a crooked cop who set him up and got him in jail to begin with. The same crooked cop who is the father of Red Mist. We'll let you figure out where it goes from there. Chloe Moretz was trained before making the film and is awesome. Uses balisong/butterfly knives, cusses like a truck driver...well, close lol, and on top of that is 11 yrs old (maybe 13 in real life.) She's quite the show stopper and I can't wait for the sequel. But since I have to, i'll just watch this one over and over and over again.
What's great about it: Best movie of the year, possibly decade.
What's not so great: the fact that I have to wait till August 3rd to watch it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When Gotham's Caped Crusader clears the city's streets of the criminal collateral, the gritty Arkham Asylum grows a little more crowded. Here in Gotham's psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane, dangerous figures from Batman's past reside, biding their time. And when Batman becomes trapped inside the walls of Arkham, the Joker and a host of other notorious villains aren't about to let him escape without a fight for his life.Batman: Arkham Asylum takes you inside the sinister confines of Arkham and gives you free rein to explore the infamous island for the first time. Assume the role of Batman, relying on your wits, strength and arsenal of gadgets to foil a demented scheme cooked up by the Joker. Cling to the shadows, employing the utmost stealth to help you hunt down Gotham's most notorious villains without being seen. The Game of the Year Edition features four extra challenge maps not included with the original release. An innovative new technology lets you explore the feared hospital and fight Gotham's greatest villains in 3D. Face off against an array of enemies, including Harley Quinn, Victor Zsasz and Killer Croc, and do your best to unlock the secrets that shadow Arkham — before you become the next victim.

I remember when Arkham Asylum was coming out. I was excited as everyone else, but not sure just how good it was going to be. I thought it was just going to be another flop in the super hero genre. Well, I must have not been all there up stairs cause it was awesome. Excitement:5, Challenge:5 (if you play on Hard first like I did), Graphics:5 (probably the best looking third person game i've seen in a while) Length:5 (about 15+ hours, and that's not including the challenges and finishing up finding all the riddles and trophies.)
I caught onto this one quick from playing the previous one. I jumped into Hard mode like I did the first time, only this time a bit easier due to playing it before. I'm not your average game player who loves first person shooters, I prefer third person and i'm not the best at playing games on Hard, but there's something about this game and the freeflow combat system that makes you an elite gamer when playing on Hard, no matter your skill level. I started off the first one a button masher, and that will get you into trouble. Once I relaxed and hit one button at a time, like strike, or counter, etc. This game started to get pretty easy on Hard most of the time. After a some armor upgrades and playing some of the challenges, i've realized this is the best combat system in any third person action game i've ever played. So addicting, I found myself wanting more. Like most games on Hard, I'd want to run or not fight. This game changed that.
If you played the first and know what i'm talking about, then get it if you want to enjoy it again, or get another 1000gs. If you've never played this game and have thought about picking it up, then do so. 50$ is a steal for this game with all the maps that I had to get extra with the first one. It also has the option of playing it in 3D, and you can turn that off anytime during the game if you get tired of wearing the glasses. But the game still looks amazing with or without them. So please, do yourself a favor and pick this up. Lay explosive gel, throw remote controlled batarangs, grapple enemies over a ledge, or sneak up behind em' for the quiet kill. Your choice. Batman AA GOTYE puts the tools in your hands as you progress through this amazing game. Can't wait for AA 2 due out early 2011.
What's great about it: Just the best third person action game ever made.
What's not so great: If you really have anything to write here, it's probably not for you.
