We purchased this LG microwave as part of a set in July 2014. After only 18 months the turntable stopped working and the microwave will not heat anything. Our household has only two people and the microwave get a moderate amount of use. We now have to call in a repair company for an expensive repair or replacement. I had better hopes that LG brand would last at least as long as our prior GE Microwaves (averaged 10 years each) No such luck.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had to replace the exact same model microwave as it only lasted 2 years! We stayed with the same model for ease in replacing it, and we have the matching LG set of stainless appliances. I hope this new one lasts longer.

Looks good but doesnt last

Ours only lasted 18 months. We called LG and they said there was nothing they could do but send a service person out and we would have to pay for the repair.
