Tonic's new self-titled release delivers everything you'd expect from the band; great songwriting, signature melodies and hooks, and fantastic vocals. This record is not as heavy as "Lemon Parade" or "Head On Straight", parts of it will remind the listener of more of their "Sugar" era stuff with some new ideas as well. "Release Me" and "Daffodil" are already on the radio and are great, catchy songs. "Resolve" might be the best song on the record, but there are no weak tracks on this one. You will very quickly be singing these songs to yourself as the hooks are infectious. "She Goes Down" reminds me of The Beatles a bit, it's very simple yet very powerful. "Everything Is Nothing" is a beautiful ballad with some nice piano and acoustic guitar. If you are a fan of Tonic, Train, or any roots/post grunge pop music BUY THIS!
