best streaming device out there

I had Chromecast for a while and then the Fire TV stick.
The Roku is miles better.
It works, it's easy, and all channels are available on it; the Fire TV was close and had a better remote but there were several channels, like USA, that wouldn't work with it.
Chromecast was good but also missing a lot of channels.
The quality of the streaming is excellent.
The navigation is fast.
I just love my Roku.
I've had it for a little while now and so far I've never had an issue.
I only wish it was integrated with Alexa, but that will be for the future, for now I just have to use the remote.

Works perfectly with Alexa

This is small, doesn't block other outlets.
There's a little switch on the plug if I want to switch it on/off manually.
Once I got it connected to my wifi (which took a couple of tries), Alexa immediately found it and it's been working flawlessly since.

great projector but not everything it promises

pros:
-superb image quality, I absolutely love it, so long as you use a good HDMI cable. Disable the truemotion otherwise moving shots become blurry. Once it's off, the image is near perfect all the time.
-silent or nearly silent. If you've had a regular bulb projector before you won't notice this one, if you've never had a projector then you may slightly notice the fan, but it is very faint even in the highest quality mode.
-remote: the magic remote is great, easy to use and you can be in front of the projector when you use it. for the regular remote you need to be behind.
-the TV tuner works very well whether it's with the antenna or directly from the wall.
-small and light.
-LED so no need to change bulbs for years.
cons:
-smart tv/apps: here are the only apps available with this projector: youtube, picasa, google maps, the associated press, vTuner, Facebook, Twitter. That's it. There is no premium content available even if it says otherwise everywhere including on the LG website.
Don't think you'll get Netflix or Amazon Prime or Hulu...
I emailed LG a week ago about this, still no reply. You will have to hook up a device like Roku or dvd/bluray player with apps if you want anything else than the 7 apps provided. Hopefully this will change as there is a "coming soon" icon, but currently it's empty. so very disappointing.
-Bluetooth. Even though the manual gives the Bluetooth specs of this projector, the Bluetooth is only for the magic remote. You can't connect to Bluetooth speakers with it unless you buy an adapter that fits into the headphone jack; but if you do there is a very big delay that can't be fixed by the av synch option, it's un-watchable.
-sound: as I would expect for any projector, the sound from the speakers is bad. It's loud enough so you can hear, but it's not nice. If you hook it up to a sound bar or speakers from the headphone jack then the sound is fine, but not great.
I use the sound from my bluray player instead and it's great.
-the only way to control the size of the image is by the distance between the projector and the screen, this makes it tricky to get it right. I wish I could put the projector further away and still fit the image to my screen. I may have to buy a bigger screen to get things to work better.
conclusion: It's a great projector and I would buy it again, but it's not the wireless projector I thought I was buying.
Once hooked up with a good HDMI cable to my bluray player which also has apps like Netflix and Hulu, and with the sound coming out of the bluray player, then it's amazing.
I'm writing this review so when you buy it you know what you are getting and you don't get disappointed like I was.

What's great about it: superb image quality
What's not so great: does not have all functions that are on the description

The 3D works very well

I've now coupled this projector with SainSonic(TM) SSZ-200DLB 144Hz 3D IR Active glasses and the 3D is great.

What does it mean by Wi-Fi is it only for wireless use from whatever is plugged into it in the app or will it turn my non Smart TV into a smart TV with the Wi-Fi just wondering

The WiFi is only to control the power on/off of the plug, so it won't turn your TV smart, but it will switch the power on/off via WiFi through a phone app or Alexa.

Do you need a hub for Alexa to control this plug or will it work directly with Echo Just by itself and nothing else?

It works directly with Alexa. No need for a hub. It also work in the yonomi app.
It took me a couple of tries to get it to connect to my wifi but has been working flawlessly since.
