I found this online clearance priced under $350.00 but thought is was still overpriced. I went into the local store and looked at the floor model. It is a decent size and has a good build quality, but it's not going to last 20 years or longer like more expensive units. I found it to be suitable for my needs but asked the salesperson if they would knock the price down another 10%. When he scanned the SKU the unit was $50.00 less than the clearance advertised price, which also was better than the 10% off I was asking. I purchased it. My unit was simple to assemble but some of the hardware in the locking mechanisms were fragile junk, especially in the assembly of the two drawers. Two of the posts in the locking system snapped as I was locking them into place. The drawers are unusable until I find some brackets to pull the drawers back together. In all though it is a solid buy at $295.00 after tax.

This unit will be adequate for my intentions in the bedroom. A few things to note though are as follows.....
1. The stereo does NOT have NFC pairing as Best Buy listed it does. I've combed the manual and no where does it mention NFC as an option.
2. The AUX input does not play as loudly as the Bluetooth or CD.
3. The CD player is extremely sensitive. It doesn't take much of a nudge to make it skip. Also worth a note, the CD player will not display artist/track names unless the CD text is in WMA format. MP3 will not show.
4. X-Bass just distorts the sound. It could be beneficial with a different set of speakers, but the ones that are shipped with the unit will be best left with the X-Bass off.
For the price point it is a fair device, especially with options of Bluetooth, Subwoofer output and USB playback.

This does not sync with the previous Shield Model. It will recognized it but not pair. Called Nvidia and their answer is there will be a future update for this device. Not the operating system update but one for his controller to be able to use it. They could and would not provide a date or even timeframe for this update being released. I love my shield but this is pretty disappointing.

I too have the 2015 Shield TV 16gb and paired the newer controller with no problems. It is a nice controller and the "always on" mic feature is a great addition.

Yes you can make calls from BT headset. You can also listen to music from the watch's built in media player over the headset.
