This is a must have if you own an Xbox One. It replaces the need for disposable or rechargeable batteries and has a cable long enough to reach the couch. The only downside doesn't lie with the product itself but rather with the fact that Microsoft didn't just include a rechargeable battery pack and USB cable in the box with the Xbox One in the first place.

The Korean blockbuster Dodookdeul (US - The Thieves) is a great caper film. It's fun and action packed, complete with humor and some nice twists; but most importantly, it's very well made, with a great story and strong character development not typically seen in such popcorn fair. It boasts incredible visuals, great video, fantastic sound, but sadly no real supplemental material to speak of. Highly recommended nonetheless.
What's great about it: Fun and action packed heist film with great story, humor, and character development.
What's not so great: Severely lacking on bonus features.

Irvin S. Yeaworth's 1958 drive-in classic 'The Blob' makes it way to blu-ray for the first time ever, receiving the royal treatment from The Criterion Collection. The film looks and sounds fantastic on blu-ray. The supplements are good, but a little lacking for a Criterion release. The film itself, of course, is a real treat. A cheesy, gloriously fun treat. It stars Steve McQueen in his first leading role and features a giant gelatinous alien creature that rolls around absorbing people. If that's not enough to make you add it to your cart right now, then I don't know what is.
What's great about it: Steve McQueen! It's The Blob... in HD! Fantastic treatment from Criterion.
What's not so great: Extras a tad lacking for a Criterion BD.

This is a Scooby-Doo direct to video feature that is sure to please! Sometimes these efforts can prove a bit lackluster, especially for discerning fans. But this one is a real treat for newcomers - both young and old - and especially, long time old school Scooby fans! This is the best Scooby movie in ages. There are even some great old school Hanna Barbera cartoon cameos! The audio and video on this disc will please as well. The only downside here is that there really aren't any special features to speak of, except for a few old school Scooby Doo cartoons - which are, however, a welcome surprise.

What's great about it: Best Scooby in a long time. Sure to please everyone - newcomers, young ones, and ESPECIALLY old school fans!
What's not so great: Lack of special features.

Great set, but beware of flimsy packaging.

Watchmen is a great film, and this release is packed full of great extras, both on disc and in the box itself. It comes with a hardcover edition of the amazing graphic novel that the film is based on. That's an amazing pack in. The problem is, said novel's weight pushes down on the box that contains it, tearing the box in several places. I have to store my book separately from the rest of the box's contents. I had to return my initial purchase because of this issue. My replacement was better, but not much. It is still torn. Just beware of this issue and find as perfect a box as you can. The lenticular cover is a nice touch. The film contained here is The Ultimate Cut, which splices in the animated Tales of the Black Freighter. It would have been nice to have had the animated film separately and a choice to watch just the director's cut without the animation spliced in. The UltraViolet digital copy, however, is a copy of the director's cut.
What's great about it: The film, the graphic novels, the extras.
What's not so great: Flimsy packaging. The graphic novel weighs down on the box and breaks it.

The first season of Person of Interest is gripping, exciting, and action packed. You owe it to yourself to check out this awesome action/adventure drama series from CBS. Video and audio on this release are fantastic. Bonus features could be better though.

The Big Bang Theory is a great show, certainly one of the best traditional sitcoms on television currently. The first three seasons have by far been the best of the series. The fourth season saw a downward spiral, and the fifth season was complete garbage. Things have recently picked up for the show, with the second half of the sixth season improving greatly. Hopefully the trend continues. The second season, presented here on blu-ray, is probably the best the series has ever, or will ever, be. The audio quality is good, but not great. The video quality great, but not amazing. This is certainly the best the series has ever looked or sounded though. The supplements, however, are severely lacking.

Night of the Creeps is a cult classic for good reason. It works well as a good quality b-movie and a great quality eighties horror comedy. It's a funny, ridiculous, and most importantly fun time. Audio and video quality are great as well. It comes packed with a good deal of awesome supplements to dive into for fans of the film.
What's great about it: The film, audio, picture, and extras are all great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was a complete and total blind buy, and I am thoroughly impressed. I wasn't sure what to think of the film at first. I was worried that it would be a slow moving affair and would end up bogged down in religious sentiment. Fortunately, my worries didn't last long on either front. I ended up loving the film. It gets my vote for best of 2012 and is now one of my all time favorite films. The cinematography and visuals are amazing and the 3D stunning. It has to be seen to be believed. The ending will blow you away. The 3D version is definitely the version to get, even if you don't own any 3D equipment. There are special features present only on this 3D edition that are well worth the premium. And if you're not yet on the 3D bandwagon, this is the film to put you there.

What's not so great: Nothing. It's all great.

The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is extremely offensive and obscene. It's full of profanity, cartoon nudity, and gore. It's certainly aimed at a very specific audience and definitely not for everybody. You just have to let your inhibitions go, relax, and keep an open mind to fully enjoy this movie. It might take some getting used to and perhaps need some time to grow on you, but it is actually really funny if you give it a chance. I didn't think I would like it when I first started watching, but by the end I was in love with it. You're most likely either going to LOVE or HATE this film. There's really not much gray area in the end. But if you're mature enough to watch a film like this and immature enough to enjoy it, then this is an experience you can not afford to miss, especially at the $6.99 I paid for it.
What's great about it: Hilarious if you're mature enough to watch, and immature enough to enjoy.
What's not so great: It's not for everybody. Takes some getting used to.
