It's easy to install!
on June 6, 2023

Thermostats have been around for decades. Now that we are in the internet stage, smart thermostats are becoming the norm. In truth the main advantage of having a smart thermostat is having controls also in your smart phone. The Emerson is one smart thermostat.
Most home HVAC systems are now much standardized and that they have a c-wire to provide power to the thermostat unit. So first things first, check if your system has a c-wire. If not you may have to purchase a separate c-wire kit and maybe even have a professional to install this thermostat. The box of the Emerson Sensi indicates that most systems may not need a c-wire in order for this to work. Luckily for me, my HVAC system at home has a c-wire which makes things simpler. Also, having a c-wire already means I really cannot validate Emerson’s claim about not having a c-wire for the thermostat to work since I am not an electrician.
Installation of the device is pretty much simple. First remove your old thermostat and remember the wiring. This is most often color coded. But for the novice like me, take a picture. After removing the mount, attach the back mount of the Sensi. The beauty of the Sensi is that it has already a built in level which makes alignment simpler. Also screws are provided in the box.
Attach the batteries and wire the new thermostat. This should be a simple process as the connectors are labelled and the wires are color coded. Then snap in the front panel to the base. After that you are ready for the setup process.
Download the app and register online. Then the app itself will guide you through the setup process. Now you are ready to go. All the standard features are now available in your smart phone. But one added feature is that this device can also be connected to Google, Alexa or Samsung’s Smart Things. But if you are Apple centric, separate device is sold separately. Once that’s done, you are good to go. The whole process including installation of the device on your wall should take around thirty minutes assuming there are no snags. It’s easy peasy. This device is a high recommend!

It's karaoke time!

The Bose S1 Pro Plus is the much awaited to the highly popular S1 Pro launched circa 2018. The S1 Pro Plus is essentially is more of an incremental upgrade rather than a major update. But still the upgrade is still worth it in my opinion.
First, the S1 Pro Plus follows the general form factor of its predecessor but with a more curvy design. It still retains the ability to position itself vertically or horizontally with the added capability to tilt so as to provide a more vibrant audio experience. And like before, Bose made sure that the logo like in the S1 Pro can be rotated in accordance to its positional orientation. Talk about branding!
The Bose S1 Pro Plus I have includes a battery and is rated to be at around eight hours of usage. This battery like the previous model is replaceable. But I do not know if this is a standard feature of the new model. I understand the previous generation S1 Pro has the bettery as being optional.
Like in the previous version, the S1 Pro Plus has two analog inputs and bluetooth> The main difference here is that the new model has an LED display rather than separate dials for the control. It still has one dial for each where you can toggle between bass, treble, volume and reverb. And do note this does not have a “manual’ equalizer but “autoequalizes” itself.
Another improvement is the addition of wireless input. There are two optional wireless modules compatible for this speaker system. One is a wireless mic transmitter and the other is an analog transmitter best suited for guitars or any other appropriate instrument. I was able to reset the wireless mic transmitter since I have a “pro” grade mic in my house. Surprsingly the volume is much louder compared to when the same mic is connected via cable. Unfortunately, I do not have a guitar or any other musical instrument in the house, so I wasn’t able to test the other transmitter.
The optional transmitters have built in batteries and from the looks of it, can be charged via USB-C but is not stated in the documentation. However, the S1 Pro Plus has two charging bays built in to the speaker. I was able to charge the transmitter and also I was notified of firmware updates on the transmitter. Given this, I was no longer to verify if the transmitter can be charged via USB-C or is actually having a USB-C port. Nonetheless, this is moot since there are charging bays already in the speaker.
As for sound quality, it has the sound signature of Bose and is quite loud. Bass is rather responsive as it is able to give a thump. Whereas, treble is fairly good but not spectacular. Obviously, I was not able to test the reverb function. And as usual, Bose does not disclose wattage of their products, but it is quite loud. Let’s get real this is a PA system and should be quite loud. Loud enough tone the accompanying speaker or used a sound monitor if you are a musician and also loud enough if you are using this as a PA system and also loud enough if you decide to use this as a karaoke system.
Also, another change to note is that unlike the previous model which connects to the Bose Connect app, the S1 Pro Plus now connects to the Bose Music app. This is a plus since it is now SimpleSync compatible but also smart compatible. I was able to group the S1 Pro Plus with my Bose Home Speaker 300 and Bose Smart Soundbar 5.1 system and the whole house is rockin’!
Normally I burn in speakers as is good practice before using it normally. After successfully burning in the S1 Pro Plus, I still noticed distortion when the speaker is mounted on a stand or displayed vertically. This for whatever reason is absent when using it horizontally. I have no idea if this is a fluke with my unit nor it is simply a design flaw. Nevertheless, it is not a big deal for me but this should be noted as well.

A fast mouse but no lights
on May 24, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
Razer’s Deathadder V3 is one of Razer’s latest gaming mouse. It’s primary selling point is that it is extremely light at 59G wherein you can barely feel it’s there. Add to it it’s superset nylon cord which Razer touts as a Speedflex cable and new ergonomic design, one can almost say you are not using a mouse at all. It also boasts of a gen 3 optical mouse switch making the use of the mouse quite a pleasure.
Upon plugging the mouse to your PC, it’s software automatically installs itself. But one thing to note is that there are no RGB lights in this mouse. And if this is your only Razer device in your gaming rig, the app will definitely be a waste of space since the app occupies roughly 500mb of space. And if you install all options, total space to be consumed is around 1GB. And like all gaming mice, buttons can be assigned.
And while the lack of RBG lights may not be enticing to all, I still find this mouse very useful. The speed of the mouse is essentially helpful since our monitors are 32 inches wide. In other words, this mouse functions as a great general use mouse. I would recommend it to others in spite of the lack of lights. But then again, some people may also want the lack of lights to be a plus. So because of that I am removing one star for thievery fast mouse since it can be really hard to call a mouse a gaming one without lights.

A very promising gaming monitor
on May 17, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
The Samsung Odyssey 32” G51C is one of Samsung’s latest offerings aimed at casual to the “getting to be more serious” gamers at an affordable price level. It’s primary selling point obviously is it’s size at 32 inches. In this space, obviously one would prefer the biggest monitor one can afford both in budget and in actual physical space where to setup the monitor. And nowadays, it seems 32 inches is the norm whereas back in the day 24 inches is already huge. (And of course, there are even bigger monitors out there.)
The styling of this monitor seems to be current with the times wherein there is a thin bezel surrounding the screen area which makes it sleek to look at. Assembly of the monitor is very easy in the sense that you don’t even need the manual nor tools to set it up. Stand itself is the “V” shaped one and has and adjustable “pole” to connect your monitor. A plastic ring is provided as a decorative piece to hid where the monitor actually” connects to the stand. A cable management system is also included in the stand.
At the back of the monitor are your connection ports namely one display port, two HDMI ports and an audio out port. Personally, I do not prefer to use audio ports in the monitor as a direct connection to the PC itself provides better audio. But it there in case you have a need for it.
Below the monitor is a toggle switch to power on or off, and select which input you which to use. This design is very typical of Samsung monitors. (I have a Samsung M8 monitor and the toggle controls are similar.)
Features of the monitor screen itself includes a 165hz refresh rate which is generally good for most PC games unless you are a real hardcore gamer. The Samsung G51C’s resolution is QHD level meaning it is between 1080p and Full HD. Again, this is good for most gaming needs. It also supports Freesync. Unfortunately, the gaming rig at home has an Intel processor with an NVIDIA GTX1650 GPU. Freesync being owned by AMD is supported by Radeon GPUs or Ryzen APUs both being AMD technologies. I have read somewhere that NVIDIA cards are now support even either in use with an AMD chip or through a display port. Unfortunately, our HP Pavilion does not does not have a display port. So there is no way for me to actually test.
But if there is one feature we can appreciate is the inclusion of HDR. I have tested this monitor with my Samsung laptop with an intel integrated GPU and compared it to our HP Pavilion. And though my Samsung has an i7 whereas my HP Pavilion has only an i5, colors and sharpness seem to be better when using the HP.
Overall, this is a very decent gaming monitor selling at a decent price point meaning it is not exactly very cheap nor it is very expensive. It’s just fair value to what it promises to deliver. That said, I would recommend this monitor for gaming or general use.

A very capable basic printer
on May 6, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
The HP Envy 6055e is your basic inkjet printer and scanner combo which is perfect for those who do occasional printing and also comes in a small form factor. And like most basic printers, this printer can print ten pages per minutes which is the standard nowadays. It has a flatbed scanner which is fine for most uses. But if you require more robust scanning, then perhaps a printer with a document form feeder would be better. Also, do note that this is not an all-in-one printer combo which has fax capabilities. But then again, fax is a dying form form communication. It likewise uses a separate black ink cartridge and a tri-color ink cartridge. But personally I would prefer separate ink cartridges. But then again this is an entry level printer.
But what makes it stand out is that this printer is a smart printer. And it is highly recommended that you enroll in HP’s Instant Ink service in order to save money. Do note there is similar model the HP Envy 6055 which is not HP Instant Ink eligible. Also, this model AFAIK is already discontinued but here may be until still sold in the “wild”.
The HP Envy being an entry level model is bare bones in terms of physical features. Control is primarily done through the HP Smart App. This app is available for both Windows and MacOS and is also mobile compatible.
But the advantage if the HP Envy 6055e is that it is HP Instant Ink compatible meaning you subscribe to the in service. Once your ink levels are low, HP sends you replacement cartridges. Having used another HP smart printer (8030 series) for the last couple of years, I can certify that enrolling in the HP Instant Ink service does indeed save you money. But the beauty of this model is that you get a complimentary six month ink cartridge replacement service. This way you can ascertain your paper consumption and eventually select a print plan best suited for your needs. And being a smart printer, HP no longer provides a USB cable for this model though this model is also USB capable.
There’s not much more I can say about this model except for that this is perfect for the occasional user whether you use it at home or in the dormitory. It is a recommend!

It works as advertised!
on May 2, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
First and foremost, sous vide cooking is not for everyone. It simply takes too long. That said precision cooking is both a science and an art form. I am writing this review from the point of view of someone who is willing to take the time to cook.
The Anova Precision Cooker Nano 3.0 is one of Anova’s latest precision cookers. The main differentiator is that it is a smart sous vide. But let me discuss first how it functions as a basic or manual souse vide.
In general, the Precision Cooker Nano is generally the same as any other sous vide. You may either use an ordinary deep pot or a sous vide container. But do note that the sous vide container is not really necessary. Controls are pretty much straightforward as you can set the target temperature and timer on the touch screen panel. I did notice that there seems to be no power off button but that is not a big deal.
I have tested this unit by cooking one of the most popular recipes for sous vide cooking namely poached eggs. I have tried the so called “fast and easy” technique for cooking poached eggs on a sous vide. I set the temperature to 166F and preheated it and set the timer for 14 minutes. Needless to say the result was perfect poached eggs. Compared to the traditional way, this is way more effective albeit longer. But then again poached eggs can be stored for a day and you can make your initial preparation ahead of time.
As mentioned earlier, this is a smart device, You can download the app from either the app store both for Apple and Android. The app is simply an extension of the touch screen panel of the sous vide. But one thing to note though is that you can save your recipes in the app so that you don’t have to look for your recipes elsewhere.
Overall the Anova Precision Cooker Nano works as advertised even though souse vide cookers have been around. Fore those serious about their cooking, the Anova sous vide is a great tool for the kitchen. I would highly recommend this product.

A good device with a little quirk
on April 28, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
The Thrustmaster T128P is an entry level steering wheel for racing games both for the Playstation and the PC hence the P designation. Compared to other streering wheels in the market, this model is quite small. Most notably with this model is that the brake and accelerator pad could hardly accommodate my size 11 feet but would be suitable for someone perhaps with a size 8. Nonetheless it is still workable.
On the steering wheel itself you can find two customizable paddles which I use for acceleration and braking. On the right side, you can see buttons specific for the PlayStation and on the left is a set of up and down arrow keys which are also customizable. There are also four customizable keys which you can use for other functions depending on the game being played such as zoom, instant replay, etc.
I have tried this steering wheels on games I use on Steam normally using a keyboard such as Copa Petrobas, RaceRoom, and Victory: The Age of Racing. So far I find the force feedback on the steering wheel is quite acceptable. Not that this model is not modular meaning you can’t change the streering wheel only like what’s found in other models but this is fairly good to me.
Acceleration is quite satisfactory fpr me, but braking is quite tricky since so far I cannot make the brakes work in spite of customizing the brake pedals and confirming that it should work. But then again that is downside of PC ganes sometimes not being fully compatible with accessories.
Furhermore, most games I have tried from the Microsoft Store are often incompatible with this steering wheel. Perhaps AAA games for the PlayStation may be more compatible with this. But unfortunately I don’t have a PlayStation at my disposal.
Overall, I find this steering wheel quite satisfactory in spite of the quirks of the brakes. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this streering wheel for those who would want one but not necessarily break the bank.

A great pair of earbuds!
on April 24, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
The JVC HA-A18T “Marshmallow” earbuds is one of JVC’s latest entrants to the otherwise crowded earbud space. That said where does it all fit in and what would be its virtues? Having used these earbuds for a week, here are my thoughts.
The HA-A18T are small earbuds which are barely noticeable when worn in your ears. Likewise, the charging case is small too. But don’t let its size fool you. The earbuds themselves have rating of 7.5 hours of battery life. And when used with the charging case, one can get a total paying time of 28 hours which is already decent capacity. The case is charged by a supplied USB-C cable and can be fully charged within two and half hours for the case and two for the earbuds themselves. A ten minute quick charge of the earbuds will also give you an hour’s worth of playing time. This is in line with premium earbuds. And quite honestly a very nifty feature should these be the only pair of earbuds or the main earbuds that you use.
The earbuds themselves have an IPX4 rating meaning they are water resistant. And in most actual use cases, an IPX4 rating is pretty much sufficient meaning you can still workout and accidentally splash water and still have your earbuds working. Personally, I really don’t see the practically having waterproof or IPX7 rated cases. (I am saying this because I have two other branded IPX7 earbuds. And while both products work underwater, I do not see a practical purpose for it.)
These earbuds also utilize BT 5.3 which in a nutshell has a better signal connection but throughput would be the more accurate description (but the ordinary person would not really about technical terms.) It has no connected app like most earbuds. But then again this is a double edged sword some would prefer an app whereas others don’t. Truthfully, I am fine without using an app since I don’t have to provide any personal info just to use these earbuds. All controls are done by the touch sensitive earbuds.
As for sound quality, the default sound signature has a good balance of bass and treble. Mids are also decent too. There are also settings to increase bass and also lessen bass through the clear mode option. To help further enhance the sound, these earbuds include memory foam ear tips aside from silicone ones. Memory foam ear tips provide a better seal than silicone ones thereby proving better noise isolation and better clarity. Truth be told, I do not see the value in active noise canceling in earbuds (having several of them too.) But your needs may differ in mine.
The only complaint that I would give for these earbuds it that call volume seems to be tiny. It is still clear but volume seems lacking. But this is no deal breaker for me since I use this for listening to music rather than making extended calls. And at this price point these earbuds are a good value since it provides a good balance between performance and price. These are a highly recommended pair of earbuds for those who want good sound quality but do not want to break the bank.

A decent entry level Chromebook
on April 21, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
This Acer Chromebook is the latest line of Acer’s highly popular Spin 311 series. Like its previous predecessors, it is a touch screen Chromebook and is capable flip at 360 degrees making it a tablet albeit thick. And like most Chromebook nowadays, the Spin 311 also supports Android apps. (But one thing to note though is that for those who prefer to use Microsoft/Office 365, the Android are no longer available in the Google app store and you have to use the web version.)
This latest iteration of the Spin 311 series still sports the 11 inch screen which IMO is still ideal for general use overall. This model is is a bit thinner than previous models and is quite welcome. But one thing to note though is that it now sports the MediaTek chip which is seven times faster than the Celeron chips found in other notebooks. Plus it has an Auto Update Expiry of until 2028 making this a sound investment.
Arguably, the one this that may be a dealbreaker for some is the unit’s lack of USI pen support. As such, apps like Squid which is a note thing app is quite limited. Personally, I find USI support good for collaboration. But your needs may be different from mine. But to to this limitation, I am removing one star for this otherwise fine Chromebook. Still I find this Chromebook quite robust and still recommend it to those who have no need for USI pen support.

An advanced air fryer!
on April 10, 2023
Posted by: msumulong
Air fryers have been around for several years now and there are multiple brands to choose from nowadays. So what makes the Cosori Smart Air Fryer standout among the rest? It’s basically that it is a smart air fryer. But before I delve into that, let me explain the inherent features of this air fryer.
First of all the Cosori Smart Air Fryer has a carafe based design which may or may not appeal to everyone as the other options are the oven toaster design or even the much older glass pot design (think of convection roasters). The model being reviewed has a capacity of 5.8 quarts which in my opinion can fit most needs. Cosori claims that the carafe can handle a five pound chicken but in reality it is really like a four pound chicken at most.
It has a back lit touch panel which has most of the presets found in most touch panel equipped air fryers. Temperature and timer controls are also found in the touch panel. The carafe itself comes in two parts wherein there is a smaller basket in which it gives air to circulate around the food and also it serves as a dripping pan too. Also, this makes it easier to clean. The carafe also has a locking mechanism so as not to accidentally detach the “basket” from the main part. And as a bonus, it also has a skewer rack with five mini skewers. I personally find this a very nice addition as I can now make some mini kebabs on the fly.
So in essence the main unit of the Cosori Air Fryer is no different from the others out there, But there is one main thing that makes it stand out amongst others. It has smart functions. It is wi-fi enabled using the 2.4ghz bandwidth (like most internet connected home devices are) and an app both available for iOS and Android.
The app used by the Cosori Smart Air Fryer is the VeSync app which is basically an app for a variety of devices. Setup is pretty much straightforward. You simply follow directions to pair your air fryer to the app. One caveat though is that it requires you to register and create an account in order for it to work which may be a big deal for some.
So now that the app is set up, what can it do. Basically, the app is a remote control for the air fryer but in addition is also an online cook book which makes it easier to select a menu. And though the Cosori comes with a 100 recipe cookbook, I find the electronic cookbook a nifty add-on to the air fryer experience. It’s not needed though but it gives me more options on what to cook and not only making the air fryer a glorified oven roaster.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the feature set of this air fryer. And though I must admit, the smart functions may not be for everyone it is always nice to have. And one can always use the touch panel to operate this air fryer. For its price point I feel this is a good value dent the added smart functions and is highly recommended.

Good, but photo download problem
By rangerdon
This is a fine camera in many ways, but after losing some photos and a conversation with Panasonic, I learned that you must use the included panasonic software to download photos. (I use Picasa.) That makes the camera less than 5 star, since iPhoto would have the same problem - so if you buy this, and it is a fine piece of equipment, use their photofun software to downloard

Internet not exactly slow and processor not bad
November 24, 2016
The wifi performance is good. However I found it odd that when I used fast.com to measure speed, the phone registered 20 mbps which by itself pretty good if you're using a phone. But since I ran it simultaneously with my pc, my pc had a 70 mbps. Also the processor is not bad. It is not the latest and is commonly found in low end or rather entry level android phones. If you want a better phone you might want to consider the POP 4S which is similar but has an octa-core processor at 1.8 GHz, 2GB RAM 13 mp camera with a fingerprint sensor at $170. This sells for $150. So the $20 dollar difference is worth it. But the Black Friday deal sells at $50. So I got this phone. :)

Crash
By MarkTwain
I wanted to like this phone. The specs were just fine. The screen was just fine. The only complaint I had was that the phone reboots frequently. Fresh off a factory reset, it would constantly reboot before I could even set it up. As a software engineer, I am disappointed that software like this can even be released. This is not the way to showcase a brand and the reason for many returns on otherwise perfectly fine hardware.

Letting it rest seems to do the trick.
December 11, 2016
A lot of Alcatel models are like this including my Pop 4+. It seems that if you have a boot loop, let the phone rest for a few minutes then restart. do this even if you have wiped data. But this shouldn't happen at all especially for a new phone.

Unlocked dual sim android phone
By ASCX
Alcatel uses older underpowered cpu which slows performance compared to currently available android marshmallow phones. Alcatel does support adoptive SD card storage unlike LG and Samsung. Dual sim is a plus. Needs better processor to be competitive.

POP 4S has a faster processor
December 11, 2016
as mentioned in the title, if you need a faster phone get the 4S. It has a 1.8Ghz processer and 2GB RAM. There are three POP 4 phones - POP 4/POP 4 Plus/POP 4S wherein the 4 Plus is the mid-tier POP 4 phone. But for $49.99 during Black Friday, why not?

When it CAN be used its good, But it cant be used.
By Reona945
The phone keeps restarting even though the battery has more than enough charge. I've tried a hard reset and that hasnt helped. A factory reset stopped the cycle and i managed to use the phone for like 20 minutes and the phone restarted. When we ordered the phone, we also ordered a case from a third party. At first we thought the case was pressing the power button because it was a tight fit but it didnt seem right. There was also an incident i had in the past with the one touch evolve that was exactly the same. I would like to hear back and now if this can be fix :) Have a nice Day!

Reboot loop
By Proz
After having the phone for less than 1 month, I took it on vacation where I didn't have service. On the way my phone started to restart randomly. When I arrived at my destination the phone started into a reboot loop. If I caught it booting up quick enough occasionally I could navigate for a couple minutes. Even after I was able to get wifi connected and any other setting I thought could affect it such as gps location disabled the phone continued into the reboot loop. After researching on many blogs and andriod q and a sites I couldn't find a helpful answer to remedy the issue. I reluctantly did a factory reset but the loop continued. Finally, after returning back home I attempted to use the phone and it returned to "normal". I am very dissatisfied and I am generally very easy to please. I will be looking for another device to replace this asap.

seems to be the gps
December 20, 2016
I also did the factory reset to ease the symptoms. But it seems to be the gps module as then random reboots often occur when I am in my car and mobile. Also when I use Yelp and try to get directions, the phone restarts. No problem when I'm home though.

Good quality, but issue with 4G
By Praveen
I purchased this phone on black Friday because bestbuy was selling at $50, the phone had 2-yrs warranty, and Alcatel is one of the few good brands. I was excited about this purchase thinking that I paid only $50, but my excitement did vanish in a couple of days when I found that the phone restarts itself. After keeping an eye on the phone for a few days, I found that it restarts only when I drive or I am in a remote area. I googled about the issue and luckily found the reason behind restart. I am using T-mobile connection and had turned 4G LTE on. The 4G LTE service of T-mobile is not available in all areas of ABQ and therefore whenever I drove in areas where T-mobile signal was weak, phone used to restart. My phone never restarted in my school or in my house as T-mobile signal is excellent in these places. To fix the issue, I changed the network settings in my phone and set 3G as the default data service and after that it never restarted.
So, if any of you are facing restart issue, just stop using 4G LTE and use 3G. This solution worked for me. Hopefully it might work for you, too.
My finding is - this phone supports 4G only if the strength of the signal is excellent, otherwise, it restarts itself. But I don't know why doesn't it ,like other brands, work in case of bad signal. My friend has samsung phone and she never had the restart issue though we go to all the places together in the same car.
All other features of this phone are like samsung phone - my the most favorite brand. I haven't observed any other issue and the phone works like charm. Speed, sound quality (the default music player doesn't have equalizer, so you might try VLC music player), picture+video quality, and call quality are just superb. Finally I started loving this phone.

Alcatel is aware of this issue
March 13, 2017
I called tech support and was informed that there is an issue with this phone. Alcatel promptly replaced my phone with newer firmware and presumably hardware and the problems of random reboots have gone.

What phone plans can I use. I want a go phone plan. Like page plus where I can pay 6-10 cents a minute over 3- 4 months. Not a monthly plan.

You can have that option when you try to activate your SIM online.

Is the reception strong? And will it work with post pay plan?

Reception is quite strong. Also it is capable of wifi calling in areas with weak coverage. And it will still work with a post paid plan. Your SIM must be a nano SIM though.

How much available space you get after you activate the phone?

Around 2.8GB left after the phone autoupdates after first opening it. A lot of junkware is installed. Can't seem to port file to SD card though. Still it serve its purpose.

Will printer and Office be compatible with Windows 7

I am considering purchasing HP or Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. This will be upgrade from Windows XP. Will my present printer HP 3100 series be compatible and can I download Windows Office that I have now?
Often printers drivers are update like my HP 1401. If it's the HP Photosmart 3100 series, there are updated drivers. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=447811&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20»

Most computers now have a trial version of Office 2007 Home & Student which you can purchase and activate. I also believe you can also download other versions from the Microsoft site.

what do you think of MSI laptops?

How would you rate MSI laptops against other laptops for general applications?
MSI is relatively new and build quality is a bit shoddy. But slowly it has been improving over the years. Specs wise, it's a value for money system.
