Great value sporty earbuds!
on August 8, 2022

The JLab Go Air Sport is JLab’s latest entry to the JLab Sport series. Similar in form factor to JLab’s Epic Air Sport ANC and Air Sport, the Go Air Sport gives you value for money. Obviously, the Go Air Sport does not noise cancelling like its Epic Air Sport counterpart nor does it have 40 hours and transparency mode which JLab refers to as “Be Aware” mode. But what the Go Air Sport offers is a lifestyle pair of earbuds that offer sport function related features plus a decent 32 hours of total playback time.
Specifically, the “lifestyle” features of the Go Air Sport is the array of colors aside from black and white. It offers six colors to choose from (light blue, graphite, green, sand, teal and yellow). And as mentioned earlier it is sweat proof, has an equalizer and touch controls which are pretty much the features in the Sport line. But having the Air Sport for some time, the Go Air Sport seems to have more comfortable clips and audio is more wide unlike the Air Sport that I also have. Of course the last two seem to be more subjective but that’s just me and I prefer it that way.
Lastly, given the relative price advantage of the Go Air Sport, it is not hard to consider this pair earbuds. I would highly recommend the JLab Go Air Sport.

The little speaker that could!

Portable bluetooth speakers can be found everywhere and it’s really hard to differentiate them in general. So what would it take for the Marshall Willen bluetooth speakers stand out in the already crowded marketplace said from its branding of a well known one of guitar amplifiers?
Well you can count on its sound build quality. Measuring roughly by 4” x 4” with a thickness of around 1.5”and weighing almost 10 oz., the Marshall Willen in terms of form factor competes with that other high end portable speaker whose brand starts with a B and audiophiles hate. The Willen also has a strap similar to that “other” brand too. But what makes the Willen stand out is that it boasts of a rated fifteen hour battery life whereas the other brand has only six. Other brands which are similar in class often have 8-10 hours of battery life. In this regard, the Marshall Willen is on top of the list.
Its boxy form factor follows the general design of Marshall amplifiers wherein there are “grippy” rubber textures and grilled speakers which are made of plastic. Also it sports the classic Marshall logo in gold. The overall design is rather minimalist wherein you have a gold rocker button in gold in front and and acts like one you can find in digital cameras and TV remote controls. Pushing the rocker powers on or off the speaker. And pushing the rocker left or right skips or repeats the song playlist while pushing up or down controls the volume. On top of the speaker is a bluetooth button which is actually red not blue, a mic and a battery indicator which from my observation is seldom found speakers of this class. The WIllen is also powered via USB-C with the charging cable provided but no charger. But then again, most small speakers do not provide one nowadays.
And now for the most important part is sound quality. At first, I found the sound as clear and not really “tinny” as most speakers in this class. Fortunately, this tiny speaker is supported by the Marshall app both of which are available for iOS and Android. From the app though minimally, you can set the sound settings. There are actually only three preset sound settings which are the default Marshall setting, the Push setting which is actually a bass boost setting and my preferred setting. In truth with this setting on, the speaker sound louder than it looks. And still it is not really thumping, the sound sound can still be room filling. Lastly, there is a Voice mode which is more suited for podcasts. And like other speakers coming nowadays, you can also daisy chain this Willen to others.
Overall I like this tiny speaker as it has great battery life and sound louder relative to its size. If you are willing to put a little extra for a quality but small bluetooth speaker, I would highly recommend this speaker.

A feature-laden smart lock beating others
on July 7, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
The Lockly Vision Elite is an upgrade from 2020’s Lockly Vision Smart Lock and Video Doorbell. But first, you should be comfortable with handling tools and following directions prior to use otherwise get a locksmith. That said installing the Lockly Vision Elite is pretty much a straightforward process.
First, everything you need for assembly is included in the box save for a pair of screwdrivers and a tape measure, Chances your your existing deadbolt already complies with standard measurements. If not, some carpentry work may be required. Lockly includes a thorough setup manual plus it also makes easier by providing video instructions for installation.
Once your deadbolt is installed, it is time to setup your smart doorbell. An app both available for both Apple and Android devices must be downloaded. Then you are required to create an account and that needs to be activated. An activation card is provided for this purpose.
Next is for you to install the included gateway which Lockly calls Vision Connect. Do note that this gateway must be connected via LAN cable to your router unlike other smart locks whose gateways connect to the internet via wi-fi.
Once the initial setup, you can assign codes up to 33 users (as far as I know) and up to 99 fingerprints (again as far as I know). The fingerprint capability is not very common in the US market as the stablished lock brands’ smart locks seldom offer this feature. The fingerprint option I must say is a neat feature since you just press your finger and no more codes to key in.
Obviously, this smart lock is battery operated. But unlike the previous model, the Lockly Vision Elite includes two (not only one) Lithium-Ion batteries wherein the USB cable and charger are also provided. A solar cover is installed in order to trickle charge the included Li-Ion battery. And if in case the battery goes dead, the Vision Elite can also opened by the included keys. And if you don’t have any keys, you can also use a 9-volt battery to “jumpstart” the Vision Elite enough for you to enter your key.
But what really sets the Vision Elite from other smart locks is the integration of a smart video doorbell which doesn’t even require a subscription The gateway or Vision Connect via micro SD card. But when the original Vision came out, the smart video doorbell did not have night vision capabilities and motion detection. Lockly knew about it and included night vision and motion capabilities. Aside from that, the Vision Elite can also record attempts to open the smart lock. And other features included in the Vision Elite are the ability to open and unlock the smart lock remotely and also provide off-line access codes temporarily to others.
The Lockly Vision Elite may be on the high side. But this is another case of you get what you pay for. And I would say the build quality and features of the Lockly Vision Elite justify its price tag. I would highly recommend this smart lock,

An awesome stereo gaming headset!
on July 6, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
The Dell Alienware 310H Stereo Gaming Headset make not heads turn around given that it is only stereo and not 7.1 enabled. But the truth is, it can hold very well on its own. For a lot of casual gamers me and my son included, stereo sound would suffice. In fact we have 7.1 enabled headsets but actually use stereo mode only and not really tweaking the sound options. That said, let’s cut to the chase so to speak.
The design of the Alienware 310H is sleek and not too futuristic. In other words, the the Alienware 310H is more streamlined compared to others which look like it was patterned after a stealth fighter jet.
I like the fact that the earmuffs move instead of the headband extending making this more form fitting. However, the grip of the headband is too tight for me (I have a big head). And even with the cushy ear muffs, I can still feel the pressure over my ears.
The 310H comes with a retractable microphone which in my open is a cool feature. If I am not doing conversations and just watching or just listening to music, I can tuck away the microphone.
This gaming headset is Hi-Res Audio rated meaning you get 9Mbps audio meaning that it is seven times more that CD quality at 1.4Mbps or 29 time more that MP#s with a sampling bit rate of 320Kbps. My MP3s are only at 128Kbps so it is afar jump from what I’m used to. Simply said this is lossless or near lossless quality, This in my opinion compensates for the lack of 7.1 capabilities. But do note when I tried this with my Sandisk MP3 player, volume seemed to be lacking but quality is good. When used on the PC, the lack of volume is easily compensated by the PC’s built-in sound card.
Unfortunately as of this writing, I actually haven’t tested this on Discord though the box indicates that it is Discord certified. But I did try this headset on Zoom and Skype. And I must this is one of the better headsets I have used earn it comes to voice. Volume was loud and clear with emphasis on the clear. Other headsets that I have used have so so mic quality,
The packaging is simplistic though the design of the box is quire good. Inside the box are the headset itself, a manual (of sorts), and a cable with volume controls. And lastly, it also includes an adaptor if you do intend to use this on a desktop PC which has separate ports for output and input.
Overall, this is a good gaming headset if you don’t mind the lack of 7.1 capabilities. This is a highly recommended buy.

Awesome upgrade to my wired Roccat Burst Pro!
on June 25, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
The Roccat Burst Pro Air is an awesome upgrade to the Roccat Burst Pro. Having the same form factor and feature set, one cannot really discern the difference between the two models.
Both can be controlled by Roccat Swarm app which can control settings such as vertical scroll speed, ponter speed, dpi settings, button assignments and illumination to name a few. Nothing new there really.
But what levels up the Roccat Burst Pro Air is it connectivity options. First, it has a USB-C power cable to charge the muse. But do note while charging you can use this as a regular wired mouse. Once charged, the mouse can be connected to your PC via the included USB dongle or via Bluetooth giving you three options to connect. Also, each charge is rated at 100 hours.
And though no latency comparisons have been made comparing the three connectivity options, it would be safe to that its wireless connectivity is up to gaming standards. But still if you feel that this isn’t so, you still have a wire option.
For gamers, the basic gaming features are nothing new. But for connectivity, it is as versatile as it gets. I’d highly recommend this mouse.

One case in an ocean of many
on June 25, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
In a competitive market where both OEM, licensed products, and knockoffs coexist, the BodyGuardz - Carve Classic Case for Apple iPhone 13 Pro wouldn’t really stand out. That said this case has merits of its own in a crowded marketplace.
The case itself is a form fitting case designed for the iPhone Pro Max but also has other models for the different models. It is made from a clear plastic material but said plastic has a bit of a haze on it. The edges have some form of ribbing to make your grip firmer and there are fitted slots for the volume and power buttons and open slots for the charging port and speakers. The back side has an opening for the iPhone Pro Max’s cameras and are also raised to give extra protection. This case is tested to withstand eight foot drops (though I haven’t tried it myself).
The case is also touted as having antimicrobial properties but there is no way for me to verify this. All I can do is take their word for it. And lastly, the case is still too new for me to ascertain if this case will turn yellowish or not which is quite common for clear cases.
All in all there is nothing new in this case save for the fact that it is a decent case for the iPhone. That said, I would still recommend this phone but unfortunately, I can only give it four stars since this is a fairly ordinary case. But one case that works.

Cannot connect to the internet (yet)
on June 23, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
The Tineco Floor One S3 Extreme is one of Tineco’s product line which falls under anew category or sub-category termed by some as a vac mop or vacuum mop. It is in essence a vacuum and mop combined into one.
Do note that this series is a line of battery powered vacuum cleaners or should I say vacmops. This alone is a plus since you do not have to deal with cords. Operating time is around one hour but charging may take around four hours or a bit more.
The concept of a vac mop is pretty much straightforward, it mops the floor and then vacuums it. On the upper part of the vac mop body is what Tineco describes as a CWT or clean water tank. Fill it with clean water and add one capful of Tineco’s cleaning solution which is provided and you’re ready to go. The vac mop wets the floor and the roller brush dries it and for a complete clean is vacuumed too. The debris, water and dirt are then collected in a DWT or dirty water tank.
Once you are finished, you can empty the water tanks and put it in the provided charging base. You are now ready to go into self cleaning mode. The vac mop will indicate if it is finished and charging can then resume. Also, this vac mop has digital indicators plus voice prompts to make it easier for you. The digital indicators include battery levels, dirt levels, lifespan of roller brush, etc.
But what set it apart from other vac mops or vacuum cleaners is that is is a smart vac meaning it can connect to the internet and you can adjust settings through the app. Now this is my frustration in an erstwhile good vac mop. For some reason, the vac mop cannot be initialized. Please not that I am quite tech savvy. And I have tested this on a mesh router and even a fiber optic based modem. I do understand that like most IOT appliances, this works only in 2.4Ghz. But still to no avail,
And while I have high praises for this product as a vac mop, I cannot as of the moment cannot recommend this until Tineco fixes its wi-fi problems. Being a smart vac mop is what differentiates this from others. But since the smart functions also put on a premium on this model. As such I would still wait for the final verdict on this. If you cannot wait, I would suggest the non-smart or “dumb” vac mops of Tineco as they will perform the same as far as cleaning is concerned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It makes you thermostat from drab to cool!
on June 7, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
Ecobee has recently released two new smart thermometers. One is the Ecobee Premium and the other is the Ecobee Enhanced. This review will focus on the Ecobee Enhanced model which is the more basic of the two.
First of all Ecobee smart thermostats offer a better interface compare to most thermostats being a nice digital display having touch controls. That along for me is reason enough to upgrade since it provides design elegance. But being a smart thermostat it offers more than that.
Upon opening the box you’ll have everything (aside from tools like a drill and a screwdriver) including the main unit itself, a backplate, an optional trim plate in case you want to cover some holes from your previous thermostat, a Power Extender Kit or PEK (if you don’t have a C wire. But more on that later.), and some screws.
Installation is pretty much straightforward but being a smart thetmostat, you’ll have to download the app first and create an account. Then the app will guide you through the installation process.
Standard or analog thermostats have four wires and more recent ones have a fifth wire called the C or common wire which provides power to your thermostat. (Do note that other HVAC systems may have different or more wires.) Just power off your AC then remover the mounting thermostat and connect to the wires to corresponding connectors of the Ecobee. And finalize mounting the thermostat. Once you have a correct connection and have powered up your AC, the thermostat will automatically guide you to the setup process.
Now if you do not have a C wire (or only having four wires), a Power Extender Kit is also provided. The process of installing this is still pretty much simple but you do have to go to the control panel so setup the PEK and eventually setup the thermostat. Don’t worry there are lots of videos on how to install this. And Ecobee has a hot line to help you out.
Now that you have installed your smart thermostat, you can now control it also by your phone which is pretty much convenient. The usual features of a standard thermostat are already found there but more features such as Siri and Alexa integration and air quality index are found in the Premium version. But both the Enhanced and Premium versions support Home Kit. But unfortunately I am not a Home Kit fan so control is more likely on the app.
Pretty much for me, this is all I can say about the thermostat. But then again theremostats are generally drab devices. But Ecobee by making a wonderful interface and adding smart features certainly make this an interesting device and worth investing in. I’d recommend this smart thermometer.

A decent but not mid blowing soundbar
on June 2, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
The Polk Signa S4 is a soundbar meant to complement your TV at the same time using minimal space as much as possible. First of all, the Polk Signa S4 is not going to replace your full surround home theater setup. It is alternatively a 3.2.1 soundbar meaning that it has three channels namely to side speakers, a center channel, two up firing speakers and sub-woofer.
Mainly this is an entry Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar which can enable to immerse you in sound due to the up firing speakers. But in order to have Dolby Atmos, you must have eArc capabilities on your TV and a Dolby Atmos enabled disc player or media streamer such as the Apple TV, Roku Ultra and Google TV.
The Polk Sign S4 is primarily a dumb soundbar (meaning no wi-fi and app for your phone) which for some is a blessing as they prefer not to fiddle with both the sounder’s settings and their wi-fi’s settings. That said, connectivity is pretty simple out of the box.
The soundbar comes with its own 4k enable HDMI cable and an optical cable for those who have older TVs. Do note that if you use the optical cable, you will not be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos sound (more on that later).
It comes with a fairly simple remote that controls bass and voice volume and also has bluetooth should you want to play music on the soundbar using your phone. Unfortunately, this soundbar does not have OSD (or On Screen Display) meaning that you not only not know your volume levels but also there is no indicator whether audio output is in Dolby Atmos or not. The remote also has the capability to control the voice channels (but I am not sure if voice solely comes out of the center channel or not). Also note that there are controls to set the levels of the various channels in this soundbar so you are pretty much blind with regard to this and simply play it by ear.
I have tried using this soundbar with several movies known for their soundtracks like the Matrix, Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan, etc. Overall it provides a crisp sound with clear vocals which is truly a jump from your TV speakers. And even if it’s only a 3.1.2 system it still gives a sense of being immersed in sound. The sub-woofer provides decent bass but to expect it to perform as well compared to a much larger active sub-woofer. Nonetheless, this soundbar still gives a punch.
And as I mentioned its Dolby Atmos enable sound, do not expect wide audio panning on this soundbar. Having no surround satellites, audio seems to me as one dimensional though you still get that immersive feeling when playing Atmos content. And sadly, Polk did not add the capability to expand this soundbar by making it a 5.2.1 or a 5.4.1 system. As such this soundbar fails in that department.
But in spite of this, the Signs S4 works well in a bedroom even without satellite speakers. But playing it on your living room may leave you wanting. For that, I am removing one star from this soundbar.
Overall, I would also consider 5.2.1 systems at this price point. But then again, if space is a constraint, the Polk Signa S4 is a simple soundbar worth considering.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for those with smaller hands
on May 5, 2022
Posted by: msumulong
from Los Angeles
Traditional mice have been around for a long time. Conversely, complaints about aching hands resulting to carpal tunnel syndrome have also been around for a long time. And for the longest time, the solution for this is to have paddings in your mouse pad (and for some paddings in your keyboard too). Logi (or Logitech) has come out with a solution for this with the Logo MX vertical mouse wherein holding the said mouse is akin to making a light handshake. As popular as it was, one main complaint was that it was to too big for a lot of people. Hence came the Logi Lift - a little brother to the Logitech MX vertical mouse. And is aimed at users with small to medium sized hands.
Unlike its big brother, the Logi Lift is powered by one AA battery instead of a rechargeable one. And I understand should last for around two years. Of course there’s no way for me verify this claim in the short time since I’ve received this mouse. But I’ll take Logi’s word for it. The battery door of the Lift is magnetically closed contrary to the snap cover found in most mice.
Once you open the battery door, You’ll also find a unifying receiver. But one of the strengths of the Logi Lift is that it is Bluetooth enabled. And it is simply not limited to connecting to one device but rather three devices. There is a button to toggle modes at the bottom of the mouse. This is perfect for me since I have a gaming desktop, a Mac mini, and a work laptop all connected to one monitor. With this mouse paired with a Logitech K380 Bluetooth keyboard, I can already dispense with the dedicated mouse and keyboard combo for each computer in my desk. This definitely made my home office workspace clean.
Aside from this, the Logi Lift lift has four programmable buttons similar to gaming mice. However, I cannot attest to the latency of this mouse since most gaming mice are wired. But as for ordinary or simpler tasks like writing this review, the Logi Lift greatly suffices. And do note that in order to program this keyboard, you need to have the Logi app. The Logi app has both Apple and Window version.
There is not more to say about this mouse save for the fact that it does its job very well. But do note that in my experience, it quite a while for me to get accustomed to its new design. That said, I would highly recommend this mouse.

Good, but photo download problem
By rangerdon
This is a fine camera in many ways, but after losing some photos and a conversation with Panasonic, I learned that you must use the included panasonic software to download photos. (I use Picasa.) That makes the camera less than 5 star, since iPhoto would have the same problem - so if you buy this, and it is a fine piece of equipment, use their photofun software to downloard

Internet not exactly slow and processor not bad
November 24, 2016
The wifi performance is good. However I found it odd that when I used fast.com to measure speed, the phone registered 20 mbps which by itself pretty good if you're using a phone. But since I ran it simultaneously with my pc, my pc had a 70 mbps. Also the processor is not bad. It is not the latest and is commonly found in low end or rather entry level android phones. If you want a better phone you might want to consider the POP 4S which is similar but has an octa-core processor at 1.8 GHz, 2GB RAM 13 mp camera with a fingerprint sensor at $170. This sells for $150. So the $20 dollar difference is worth it. But the Black Friday deal sells at $50. So I got this phone. :)

Crash
By MarkTwain
I wanted to like this phone. The specs were just fine. The screen was just fine. The only complaint I had was that the phone reboots frequently. Fresh off a factory reset, it would constantly reboot before I could even set it up. As a software engineer, I am disappointed that software like this can even be released. This is not the way to showcase a brand and the reason for many returns on otherwise perfectly fine hardware.

Letting it rest seems to do the trick.
December 11, 2016
A lot of Alcatel models are like this including my Pop 4+. It seems that if you have a boot loop, let the phone rest for a few minutes then restart. do this even if you have wiped data. But this shouldn't happen at all especially for a new phone.

Unlocked dual sim android phone
By ASCX
Alcatel uses older underpowered cpu which slows performance compared to currently available android marshmallow phones. Alcatel does support adoptive SD card storage unlike LG and Samsung. Dual sim is a plus. Needs better processor to be competitive.

POP 4S has a faster processor
December 11, 2016
as mentioned in the title, if you need a faster phone get the 4S. It has a 1.8Ghz processer and 2GB RAM. There are three POP 4 phones - POP 4/POP 4 Plus/POP 4S wherein the 4 Plus is the mid-tier POP 4 phone. But for $49.99 during Black Friday, why not?

When it CAN be used its good, But it cant be used.
By Reona945
The phone keeps restarting even though the battery has more than enough charge. I've tried a hard reset and that hasnt helped. A factory reset stopped the cycle and i managed to use the phone for like 20 minutes and the phone restarted. When we ordered the phone, we also ordered a case from a third party. At first we thought the case was pressing the power button because it was a tight fit but it didnt seem right. There was also an incident i had in the past with the one touch evolve that was exactly the same. I would like to hear back and now if this can be fix :) Have a nice Day!

Reboot loop
By Proz
After having the phone for less than 1 month, I took it on vacation where I didn't have service. On the way my phone started to restart randomly. When I arrived at my destination the phone started into a reboot loop. If I caught it booting up quick enough occasionally I could navigate for a couple minutes. Even after I was able to get wifi connected and any other setting I thought could affect it such as gps location disabled the phone continued into the reboot loop. After researching on many blogs and andriod q and a sites I couldn't find a helpful answer to remedy the issue. I reluctantly did a factory reset but the loop continued. Finally, after returning back home I attempted to use the phone and it returned to "normal". I am very dissatisfied and I am generally very easy to please. I will be looking for another device to replace this asap.

seems to be the gps
December 20, 2016
I also did the factory reset to ease the symptoms. But it seems to be the gps module as then random reboots often occur when I am in my car and mobile. Also when I use Yelp and try to get directions, the phone restarts. No problem when I'm home though.

Good quality, but issue with 4G
By Praveen
I purchased this phone on black Friday because bestbuy was selling at $50, the phone had 2-yrs warranty, and Alcatel is one of the few good brands. I was excited about this purchase thinking that I paid only $50, but my excitement did vanish in a couple of days when I found that the phone restarts itself. After keeping an eye on the phone for a few days, I found that it restarts only when I drive or I am in a remote area. I googled about the issue and luckily found the reason behind restart. I am using T-mobile connection and had turned 4G LTE on. The 4G LTE service of T-mobile is not available in all areas of ABQ and therefore whenever I drove in areas where T-mobile signal was weak, phone used to restart. My phone never restarted in my school or in my house as T-mobile signal is excellent in these places. To fix the issue, I changed the network settings in my phone and set 3G as the default data service and after that it never restarted.
So, if any of you are facing restart issue, just stop using 4G LTE and use 3G. This solution worked for me. Hopefully it might work for you, too.
My finding is - this phone supports 4G only if the strength of the signal is excellent, otherwise, it restarts itself. But I don't know why doesn't it ,like other brands, work in case of bad signal. My friend has samsung phone and she never had the restart issue though we go to all the places together in the same car.
All other features of this phone are like samsung phone - my the most favorite brand. I haven't observed any other issue and the phone works like charm. Speed, sound quality (the default music player doesn't have equalizer, so you might try VLC music player), picture+video quality, and call quality are just superb. Finally I started loving this phone.

Alcatel is aware of this issue
March 13, 2017
I called tech support and was informed that there is an issue with this phone. Alcatel promptly replaced my phone with newer firmware and presumably hardware and the problems of random reboots have gone.

Who says you need a big box for big bass? The Bose Bass Module 500 will take your music, movies, and more to the next level. Its rich, thunderous bass in a compact, 10-inch cube makes it easy to hide and even easier to hear. Wireless connectivity allows you to place the Bose Bass Module 500 nearly anywhere. Leave it next to the TV or put it under your entertainment center - the choice is yours.

Can this be paired with the Bose SA5?

AFAIK it is only compatible only with the Bose 500, 700 and Soundtouch 300 soundbars.

The stylish Bose Soundbar 500 speaker is meant to be heard, not seen. Its thin profile fits discreetly under the TV screen, while its powerful acoustics fill the room with sound. And with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built in, all your favorite music is just an ask away, or use it as a central hub to control your existing smart home devices.

Is the 500 newer than the 300 and can you use with cinematic 15

The Bose 500 as well as the 700 were released August this year with the 700 being the replacement for the 300 as the latter does not have Alexa capabilities. All three soundbars like most soundbars have built-in ampliers. Also the three soundbars can use each others sub-woofers and share a common rear surround speaker model. But AFAIK these the 500 and the other models were not designed for the Cinemate series.

Google Play store states this phone does not have an Accelerometer, so cannot be used with Google glass.

Given that it is a low end Android phone, do not expect that it will have an accelerometer nor NFC. GPS and BT are standard features though.
