The Snaptain K30 as its description says is a kiddie drone. So first make no mistake that this is a drone is at par with professional drones in the market today. That said this review will be based on the fact that it is a kiddie drone.
First, the packaging of the Snaptain Z30 is similar to what is found in toys with a see through box and not a box with design as found in most tech gadgets.

Opening the box would reveal that both the drone itself and the remote are made from cheap plastic. The remote is powered by three AAA batteries whereas the drone itself is powered by a removable battery. A spare battery is included too. Also included in the box are a carrying pouch, a couple of tools, four extra propellers, a USB C cable but no charger and a couple of quick start guides.
Setting up the drone is pretty much similar to all drones. First is that you have to download the Snaptain FV app both available in iOS and Android. Turn on both the drone and the remote control. Connect the drone to the phone and you’re ready to go.
Operation of the drone is straight forward. On the right sight of the remote are the power and speed mode buttons. On the left side are the launch/land button and flight mode button. Just press the launch button and the drone will begin to fly. The joysticks control altitude and direction of the drone. Pressing the land button obviously will land the drone. Unfortunately, there is no return to home button. But then again this is a toy drone. There is flight mode capability for the drone but I really wasn’t able to test it since this drone is so lightweight and obviously no flight stabilization that it can barely fly outdoors. (Note that the instructions say that this supposed to be used indoors. So flying it in a gym would be nearly impossible for me.)
Also, there is a camera built in the drone, but it is only 720p. Stills and video can be taken by the drone but expect much. One thing I’ve noticed though is that battery life is around five to ten minutes which is the downside for me. But then again this is a toy. But I have to remove a star for that. Still if you want a practice drone, this is a viable option.

A good but standard motherboard

Building your own computer can be a daunting task but is not limited to gamers. I don’t consider myself a hardcore gamer. But I consider myself as an enthusiast who has some knowledge in assembling PCs. The Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard which is designed for AMD CPUs like most other motherboards is fairly nondescript. And all you have to know is the compatibility list so as to maximize your build.
As mentioned earlier, this motherboard is for AMD CPUs meaning that it can handle late model Ryzen 3 CPUs and above. But Gigabyte touts that it can c=handle also the 7000/8000/9000 series chipsets. The build that I plan is for a Ryzen 5.
The memory capacity of the motherboard is 192 GB and can utilize DDR5 and also has four slots. But honestly 16 GB is already enough for me but plan to go to 32 GB Also my existing memory chips are DDR4.
If you are planning to add on a video card which is what gamers all do, I would suggest that the power supply you get is 500 watts. As of this writing, I have yet to acquire a new graphics card as my AMD Radeon is already antiquated.
The ports are pretty much standard here as it includes all the video and USB ports including a USB-C port as well. I wish it did have dual HDMI ports so having a two monitor setup is way better. But one thing I did like is the inclusion of built-in Wi-Fi which is Wi-Fi six capable. This way I am not reliant on my router. Also one neat feature is that you can upgrade the firmware without an OS. But personally, I’d rather do a BIOS upgrade through Windows.
The only downside with building your own rig is the Windows license which from a cost perspective, makes buying a full assembled desktop and adding accessories on it a viable option though building your own rig gives you full customization albeit at a higher cost. But right now my new rig is far from complete and given my schedule, it may take a month to complete it. Still this is a good project. I’d still recommend this motherboard.

The Insignia countertop microwave is one of many microwave units out in the market. For those that who don’t know Insignia is the in-house brand of Best Buy.
With that aside, the Insignia countertop microwave oven has a 1.1 cubic ft capacity and has a rating of 1000 watts. And since the size of the of the microwave is slightly smaller than an over the oven microwave, it can match the latter’s performance as most countertop ovens have a rating of only 700 watts.
The microwave I reviewed has a black enamel coating which makes it a sleek looking unit. The door has a lock wherein you lock the door by pushing a button/trigger in the handle. This for me is quite important since often times countertop microwave ovens slide toward you when opening the door.
On the right side of the is a touch screen control panel which contains the most common presets found in other microwave ovens such as timers, clock and various food modes. Operation of the unit was pretty simple. One thing I have noticed is that the microwave seems to be a bit more quiet and not really vibrating much. These are features found in more expensive models.

I have owned several gaming over the years and this is arguably the lightest gaming mouse I’ve used. That said if you are disappointed because of its weight, then obviously this is not the right mouse for you as there are other mice that you can even add on weights to make it heftier. Weight aside, let’s go on with the review.
As mentioned, earlier this is arguably the lightest mouse around and reason being is that the bottom is partially hollowed out as shown in my picture. But for those wishing a hefty mouse, I wish Turtle Beach should have included weights for the mouse though personally I prefer lightweight mice myself.
One of the reasons why this mouse is also light weight is that it includes a rechargeable battery unlike other mice that use at least one AA battery and for other models even two. The mouse can be charged with the included charging cable which they label as Phantom Flex.
Do note that this charging cable is not only for charging as it also act as a mouse cable should you want to be wired. It also has a USB adaptor for compatibility. But there are also other ways to connect this mouse to your PC. It also has a USB dongle, BT and 2.4GHz wireless. I am testing this unit right now using this mouse via USB and it seems to be very responsive.
The mouse itself is pretty much standard and is symmetrical. The keys found tin the mouse itself is pretty much standard as it includes a scroll button, the left and right click buttons, a toggle switch for dpi performance and two programmable side buttons. Turtle Beach claims there are more programmable buttons, but for me I am already satisfied with this setup. And lastly, the mouse include additional skates for smoother movement.
Overall, this is a very decent mouse which has all the features of a gaming mouse but aimed for those wanting a really lightweight mouse. So for those preferring a lightweight mouse, this is the right mouse for you.

A decent entry level laptop

The Asus Vivobook Go laptop is Asus' line of entry level laptops. This specific Vivobook sports a Celeron N4500 which by today’s standards a bit outdated. Also, it has only 4GB of RAM. So by judging by these two specs alone, this will not be a speed demon. That said, this machine is still able to run in Windows S mode.
Build quality of the laptop is fairly robust although it is made from plastic. I like the fact that you can lay flat the laptop giving you the options on viewing the screen though I would have preferred a laptop that can tilt 360 degrees. But then again this is not a hybrid laptop. But in fairness, there is no squeaking when tilting the display.
Battery life of this laptop is fairly good which is fair since more advanced laptops have a rating of 10 hours or so. But then again, laptops back in the day have a battery life have a max capacity of four hours. As for connectivity the Asus Vivobook Go has an HDMI port, two USB-A ports, one USB-C port and a headphone jack. Quite surprisingly, this laptop does not have an SD card slot. It still does have a VGA camera for video calls though.
One nice touch given to this laptop is that Asus converted is that the touchpad can also be used as a numeric keypad. This can be useful should you have a lot of encoding on spreadsheet apps. And to top it off, this laptop comes in with a free one-year subscription of Microsoft 365 which is a $70 value.
One gripe I have with this laptop though is its tendency to lag. And as mentioned earlier, this is no speed demon and RAM is only 4GB. Hoping that it should have had an i3 processor and 8GB RAM, but then again this is an entry level laptop. But if you just need a basic machine, this should be sufficient. I would still recommend this laptop.

An easy to install TV mount

Sanus has always been the go to mount for TVs and monitors. The 19”- 43” full motion is just but one of the many mounts that they produce. And it just so happens that I have a 43” TV that needs mounting.
Using a Sanus mount is a fairly easy thing to do. What you would essentially need is a drill with corresponding drill bits and a stud finder. The Sanus mount uses the Versa mounting template for the back of the TV or monitor. Just screw the back plate to the TV. Now position the mount itself on the wall. Be sure to use a stud finder so that you can screw the mount securely. If there are no studs, make sure you use anchors for the screws. If you are not sure how to do this, it’s best that you get a professional to do it or find a friend who is familiar with mounting TVs. As a matter of precaution, this preferred to be a two man job but in reality an experienced installer can do it by himself. Once you securely attached the mount to the wall, all you have to do next is to attach the TV by ‘hanging” it to the mount. And there you go! Installation should take only around thirty minutes. It’s easy peasy! And once installed, you can pull the TV outwards the wall and not only tilt it up and down but also swivel it left or right. And once you’re done watching, you can easily place back the TV on it’s original position.
I would easily recommend Sanus mounts not only for its reputation but also for its ease of installation and use.

The Apple Watch is definitely the most ubiquitous smart watch in the market today. But like anything Apple, you would have to pay for an Apple tax for its accessories. But thanks to its ubiquity, the are numerous alternatives to choose from certified accessories to plain old Apple knockoffs. Thankfully, the Insignia Silicone Apple Watch band is a legitimate product.
First and foremost, the Insignia Silicone watch band is priced at a lower price than Apple’s Watch band. Moreso, it comes in a box of three silicone watch bands. The colors that came in my box included black, blue and a light olive drab color. This color combination is already suitable for my needs as I change clothes. But most likely I will stick to the generic black color.
But then again, the million dollar question arises. How does it compare with an OEM watch band? Well, when I opened the box, I have noticed the quality of the watch bands is similar to that of Apple’s which is a good thing. Of course the design is similar to the original band so as not to be labelled as a copy cat product. There is a slight variation in the holes of the Insignia band which are rectangular compared to the round holes in the original. These bands when attached to the Apple watch give a firm magnetic lock so you can also be assured that it has a good latch onto your arm.
As such, in the brief time I am using these products I can say that the quality matches that of Apples and I would gladly recommend this to others.

The HP4200e series is HP’s new line of printers. HP being the pioneer in inkjet technology, it comes to no surprise that HP often comes uo with newer models every year. But truth be told, inkjet printers have been around for several decades and one would wonder why should one consider this model.
First, is that the HP 4200e series is very compact. It has a modern looking (with curves) design which is a step away from the boxy designs such as the HP 8030 series it had prior to this release. To further make it a compact printer, HP has designed the back sheet feeder to be foldable as well as the front paper tray so that over all the footprint of this printer is compact as much as possible. There is a downside to this unfortunately as the back sheet feeder can accommodate only up to 60 pages I believe and as compared to up to 150 pages with other models. But do note that the HP4200e series is aimed at home and student users which in my opinion is sufficient for most uses.
One thing I like about this printer is that its scanner has an automated sheet feeder. For some this may not be that important and that a flatbed scanner would suffice, but for me an automatic sheet feeder is crucial as I convert a lot of documents into PDF format. But for those who don’t do a lot of scanning HP also a model without an automatic sheet feeder. And being a printer intended for general home use, this printer no longer has fax functions.
And like most printers, this printer is wi-fi enabled. And though you can still connect this printer via USB cable, it is no longer encouraged by HP as can be seen that the USB port is covered with tape. But the main advantage of having wi-fi is that this printer is HP Instant Ink. But unlike other printer brands, HP actually sends you the ink cartridges. Other brands just give you an alert when ink is low and you have to pick it up yourself.
And lastly, since this printer is intended for home and student use, printer speed is not quite fast at 8.5 ppm. I would have wished this was faster but other than that, this is a fine multi function printer. I would highly recommend this.

A great budget electric shaver!

The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 is an entry-level or budget wet-dry shaving system from Philips Norelco. Overall the Norelco Shaver 2600 is not much different than other shavers from Philips. One thing though is that functionality wise it does not fall far behind other models.
First of all, the build quality is nothing to write home about. It is made from plastic but still has a rubber coating. Do note that other Norelco shavers are made from plastic but this specific model seems to be of lesser quality. That said, it is still a wet and dry shaver.
It has a decent if not long battery life. Once fully charged, the shaver can operate for approximately 50 minutes which is actually quite long. Charging the shaver is done through a proprietary USB-A cable. However, I wish Philips have just used an ordinary USB cable whether Type B or Type C. Also, a power charging plug is not included. But then again this now applies to all Philips Norelco shavers.
Powering on the shaver is pretty straightforward. Just push the button. But unlike other models, it has only on power setting. Also, there is no power meter but the unit flashes just in case power is low.
It also has a pop up beard trimmer which is a nice touch. And lastly it comes with a travel pouch. And while it is not a hardshell type of case, the canvas like material is enough to protect the unit.
And finally, while the Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 is ot premium model, it pretty is capable. As such, I am recommending this in spite of being a lower end model.

It serves a specific demographic

The Lively Mobile 2 Medical Alert System is a simple device that may be of importance for someone who may be an emergency risk. Being a recent amputee, I thought that this device may be of help in my situation.
Prior to use, you must activate and register by providing your account information. After registration you may now charge the Mobile 2 device by placing it in the base station. Upon charging, you will receive voice prompts indicating that the device is charged and ready. Also, you will be notified if service is available.
Usage of the device is fairly simple as there is only one button to press to make a call and a customer service assistant to answer your. This assistant will coordinate everything needed for your situation. This also includes connecting to 911. Using this device is easy peezy. There is a power button at the back of the device should you decide to turn off the device for whatever reason. Do note that the device powers on when charged.
That said I still have musings about this device, And please don’t get me wrong here. The main reason or my musing is that smart watches and cell phone can replicate the functions of this device. To note further, there is a monthly service fee also involved whereas there are no additional charges for using a smartphone and smartwatch combo. And this also covers fall risk.
So, is there still a use for this product? The short answer is yes. However it will more for a specific demographic. This device actually works. But I firmly believe this device is for the elderly and technology averse. For some people, operating a smartphone is still complicated and thus use older technology. This device would be perfect for them. But for the younger generation or technologically aware demographic, the value or utility may be of question.
So prior purchasing device is for you to fully assess if this is the right device for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time I try to print or scan it tells me that I need to replace an ink cartridge to access anything on the printer. Ex: I replace the magenta and print one black and white document then it tells me I need to replace the magenta again. Epson customer service tells me "replace the ink cartridge" and nothing else. Printing one 5 page black and white document per month is costing me approximately $20 per month.

Everytime you replace a cartridge, calibration reduces ink in the other cartridges. You'd be better off with tri-color cartridges,

why is the mx3 the same price as the mx4 if there is no major changes?
Prices are dropping elsewhere. Perhaps when the MX4s actually arrive by the 21st, prices in Best Buy would also lower.

hello i was considering purchasing last years model but i read numerous reviews mentioning that the touch controls would malfunction in cold weather has this issue been adressed?
No one really knows for sure as it is summer. But since Sony doesn't say anything about this, I guess it's safe to assume that the issue hasn't been really solved for now.

It cannot be charged with a wireless charger. Only by USB.
