Paipuky's Reviews

Extended frequency response and impressive construction are the hallmarks of these Koss Pro DJ earphones. The 10 Hz to 25,000 Hz range is extraordinary by any measure, but combined with the 99 dB sound and the 38-ohm resistance, these Koss Pro DJ earphones ensure they are ideal for professional audiophiles and DJs alike.

Very nice foldable headphones

How Often Used:3-5 times a week
I was looking for a good around the ear pair of headphones that would give me great sound, comfort and portability. Being sound quality and comfort my main criteria, I tried different ones like Sennheisr, Shure and Philips. They were all either too big, or uncomfortable when using it for several hours. I decided to give it a try to these and so far a keeper.
I am not a musician, but consider having good sense of sound quality. These offer pretty good clarity in the high levels and good bass in the lows. I live the ability of folding and adjusting them in several ways. They are very lightweight and comfortable. I use them for as long as 8 hours straight. The ear cups are rounded, which is not the best design for the ear shape and the cushioning is a little thin giving some discomfort at the beginning, but after a couple days I have actually adapted and enjoy them now.
As for durability and quality, they feel pretty solid with metal and plastic construction. I was told by two different best buy employees that these had to be replaced several times at their stores demos because they broke easy, but then just think about how some customers abuse products... I just got the replacement plan with them and forgot about any future issues. I also love the coiled cord and overall look of them.
I would definitely recommend these instead of any skullcandy or similar headphones.
What's great about it: Sound quality, weight, build quality, comfort
What's not so great: round ear cups, cushioning
I would recommend this to a friend!

I found something better than this for the same $

Type of Listener:Audiophile
Most Important to Purchase:Sound quality
How Often Used:Daily
I wanted to get a pair of good around the ear headphones under $30, these looked very good and the brand has been usually good quality. When I went to the store I also found the Koss UR20 for the same price and slightly higher specs, so I bought both to see which were better.
After a couple of days of tests I must say these HD201S are a little disappointing. Even though they are comfortable, right size and lightweight, their plastic construction tells you right away that they won't last very long, tiny plastic hinge looks very weak.
As far as sound, they have poor bass and low output compared to the great performance I found on the Koss UR20 which have great bass and output, plus good construction and flexibility. Both have extreme long cords (8-9.5ft).
On the other hand, the only problem with the UR20 is that they are big compared to the 201s... but if you don't mind the size and look and care more about the sound quality, then check your local Best Buy store and get the Koss UR20 instead. If you think these are too big, then I suggest the JVC flat foldings (over the ear) which are smaller and have better sound, bass output and better quality over the HD201S.
Avoid these Sennheiser unless you only want a pair of headphones that look good, no matter the sound quality.
What's great about it: Look, comfort, lightweight
What's not so great: Construction quality, poor bass, low output, long cord
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great improvement over SX200, awesome camera!

After waiting a couple of months for this camera, thank GOD I finally got it yesterday. This camera is replacing my great SD880IS. I've been testing it in different situations and have found it very impressive. If you liked the previous SX200, then you'll love this one. Nicer body style, it feels light, yet powerful. Flash can be hidden if not needed (not available before). It has so many options, Pro and beginner, like being able to manually adjust exposure, aperture, shutter speed are a big plus. Of course the greatest feature of this camera is the zoom, you get 14x optical plus 4x digital for an awesome 56x in total with great picture quality (I tested it today taking pictures of a bald eagle outdoors, amazing) Another great feature is HD video with stereo audio, which I tested this morning with a Mockingbird singing outdoors, quality is very good and best of all, you get to use optical and digital zoom in video! Like I said, I've had this camera just for two days, but as of now, I love it. Made in Japan =)
Some of the cons I've seen are the widescreen, at some point is wasted because not all of it is used in normal use; I like better the regular 3" screen on my SD880. Still missing in-camera panorama feature. No HDMI cable included. Zoom button on top could feel a little hard.
Overall, great intermediate camera! Even-though it may look expensive, all its features/quality may pay for it. Easy to use with Professional features and awesome zoom. As always CANON rocks!
What's great about it: Zoom! up to 56x. Many professional options, great video quality/sound
What's not so great: Wide Screen, No in-camera panoramic feature, no HDMI cable included
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would these headphones be good for guitar playing?

I love music, and I love playing it, but my parents don't like it when I play too loud. Would these headphones be good for a guitar amp?
These have great sound, good bass and flexibility. Since they have good cushioning and big ear cups, they will isolate sound good enough.

Is this good for Djing?

Hey, I just bought a Discover DJ by Ion Audio and I was wondering if these Sennheiser Headphones (HD201) are good for DJing.
I don't recommend the HD201S for a DJ... They have poor bass, low output and poor plastic construction with little flexibility, so you may break them easily.
I strongly recommend the Koss UR20; great bass, quality, solid construction, very flexible and lifetime warranty.

Is this product iphone 4g compatiable?

The box says it is compatible with iPhone and iPod.
Depending on what you want them for, there are better options within Best Buy store for the same price.

Is the chord too long to plug into an ipod and put in a pocket?

You can tie up the rest of the cord and put it in your pocket...
