In true Cunninlyguists tradition, Oneirology brings a new feel/sound to the table. This album is focused around dreams, as its title (which means the study of dreams) indicates.
The production on this album is amazing, as Kno's production once again reaches new heights. However, I found myself getting lost in the music sometimes and there were a few songs that I did not even hear the lyrics the first time through.
They lyrics and verses are good, but they just did not have the same gripping effect on me that their other albums had, such as A Piece of Strange. But again, they were good and I will be enjoying the lyrics from this album for a long long time.
I was very happy that they brought back the fun/joking around style that is seen in Enemies With Benefits. This is a nice throw back feel to their debut album which is mainly fun songs.
The guest artists on this album all did a great job as well, whether that be from a rapping standpoint like Tonedeff and Freddie Gibbs, or from a singing standpoint like Anna Wise and Rick Warren. Everyone had a great sound and flow on the album.
