Helpful for beginner, but can be frustrating
on February 15, 2017

The Casio light up keyboard is very helpful for the beginner. My wife is 59 and just learning to play keyboard. The light up keys are very helpful for her. We also have a 6 year old granddaughter who is learning the keyboard because of the light up keys.
Our only complaint is the difficulty in changing songs and making other selections. We press a selection key to change something and nothing happens. We usually have to turn the keyboard off, back on, then make my new selection. This can be a very frustrating workaround. If this doesn't correct itself, I'm probably going to exchange it for a new one as we bought the Geek Squad extended warranty.

Looks great, but is expensive and cumbersome
on June 10, 2015

First, this is possibly the best looking S6 case on the market. I bought the tan version and the leather-like material is nearly indistinguishable from real leather. Very sharp looking case.
Second, it is expensive at $69.99 and should probably sell for under $50.
Last, using it is cumbersome. The cover flap makes it difficult to hold to the ear to talk even when folded back under the phone. What are you suppose to do with the cover flap when using the camera? You can't fold it under because it blocks the lens. So you have to leave it flopping around open where it sometimes enters the left side of a photo or video. You can't close it over the phone face when using the camera because that blocks the view screen. Because it has to remain open when using the camera you can't hold the phone with your left hand and you can't use your right hand to securely cradle the phone because your finger tips will flop the cover closed. So you're left trying to prop up the phone/camera in your hand without gripping it. Very dangerous situation for a $720 phone.
Overall I rate this case as only average because I believe functionality trumps looks when protecting an expensive device..

How many cameras do you need?1-3
Back in March 2014, when it first came out, I bought this camera elsewhere because BestBuy.com wasn't selling it yet. The early reviews said that this was THE camera to buy because of its high def night time vision.
So we bought one and I can truly say this camera truly has excellent quality day and night vision. It also has adjustable motion detection sensitivity. Plus, you can define up to 3 separate motion detection areas. Great for keeping ceiling fans above the detection zones and wandering pets below the detection zones.
We have viewed both live video and playback of stored events using a PC, iPad, iPhone, and Android phone from in our home and from across the country. Access to the camera is controlled at two different levels by two different passwords. All camera settings and features can be controlled from any of the above mentioned devices.
Camera can also be triggered by audio events like your dog barking, footsteps, and glass breaking.
Setting up the camera on your wifi network is as easy as selecting a displayed network SSID name and then entering the security passphrase. No harder than selecting a wifi network on your smartphone.
Camera has no internal memory and can only stream live video unless you install a memory card (max 64gb) to save the events locally. Triggered events can also be uploaded to your Google Picasa account if offsite storage is desired. Which is a good idea for a security camera because a burglar can always just steal the camera with its memory card. Triggered event alarms can also be sent to your email.
We installed a 64gb microSDXC memory card locally in the camera and it can take several months to fill up depending on the amount of activity in the detection zones. If desired, the camera can be set to overwrite the older events once the card is full.
The memory card can be pulled from the camera and inserted into a computer where the events that were recorded as non-proprietary AVI video files can be stored on the computer and viewed with most media players. On the card, each date an event occurred is a separate directory and the event videos for each date are sequentially numbered AVI files. I recommend using Microsoft's free download RichCopy 4.0 to handle file transfers of this magnitude. Nothing else handles a 64gb transfer of tens of thousands of files as gracefully.
We originally bought this camera as a high-end baby monitor for the times our granddaughter visits. It is definitely that and then some. The high def night time image quality quite literally puts other baby monitors to shame. Plus, the Internet capability lets our daughter and son-in-law look in on their daughter from 900 miles away. With the onboard microphone and speaker they were able to participate in playtime, bedtime stories, night prayers, and so on. Microphone sensitivity and speaker volume are controlled remotely.
Overall, we are very pleased with this camera and are buying a second one.

Excellent way to use an older VGA monitor

This product is marketed as an HDMI to VGA Projector Adapter using Apple TV and Air Play. However, it was the perfect solution to allow me to use an older VGA monitor as a second display for my HDMI only Dell laptop.
All I did was plug the HDMI end of the adapter into the HDMI port on the back of the laptop and then plugged the monitor's VGA cable into the VGA port on the adapter. Worked perfect from the start.
Great device to allow you to get some more use out of an older VGA monitor.

Very Happy with this Double Oven Gas Range

Thought I'd wait on writing a review until we've owned this range for 1 year. Wife hates cooking on an elec range which is what came with our home when we bought it in 2012. So we replaced the elec range with this double oven gas range in May 2013. She loves it. The small upper oven heats up quickly and cools down quickly. We hardly ever used the storage drawer at the bottom of other ranges, so this small upper oven was a great exchange for what would otherwise be little utilized space. We love having two ovens when we host family events. She also loves the 5 burners especially the low heat simmer burner and the high heat big burner.
Today, 6/23/2014, both ovens began to exceed the set temp of 350 deg F. Upper oven by 35 deg F and lower by 90 deg F. We bought the Geek Squad 4 yr ext warranty and so we'll be finding out how well that works. Never have used Best Buy's ext warranty before.

Works but seems to cause hardware conflicts
on January 7, 2012

I own three of these Rocketfish Bluetooth adapters and two of them seem to cause hardware conflicts. This was diagnosed through trial and error.
One of our Win 7 computers will freeze at the beginning of boot-up if we forget to unplug this Bluetooth adapter. Unplug it and the PC boots fine. After boot-up we plug it in and all is fine until a reboot is needed.
The second one is used on a Win 7 laptop and will cause the system to randomly freeze. If we keep it unplugged the system freezes don't happen.
The third one is on an older XP Pro PC and works fine all the time.
Of course, the actual cause of the freezes could be something else entirely and it only appears to be the Bluetooth adapter.
What's great about it: Reasonably priced
What's not so great: Possible hardware conflicts

Awesome small business printer
on March 22, 2011
Posted by: sanelson
from Quincy, IL, USA
I've had this printer for about five months now. Initially, I was reluctant to buy this one because of some negative reviews on the HP website. After studying the content of the year old reviews, I surmised that the problems behind the complaints were most likely related to HP's software not having been updated for Windows 7. Further research uncovered that by the fall of 2010, HP had updated their software and I took a chance.
PROs
I'm glad I did. It installed on my LAN with no problem. And has been working perfectly ever since. It is IPv6 ready, which is something to look for with any new network products you purchase.
I especially like the quick duplex printing, which I use a lot. It also has the capability of manually assigning it an IP address. This came in handy when several of the 12 networked devices on my LAN all began competing for IP address 10.0.0.2 after a full system-wide reboot. I assigned this printer to 10.0.0.7 and it stays that way.
The FAX setup went swiftly, cleanly, and worked both incoming/outgoing without a hitch.
The ADF has yet to misfeed a document.
The color of the printed products is very professional looking. My wife's Internet/home-based business is color based with over 175 colors being printed from time-to-time. We've printed on plain paper, color laser paper, photo paper, glossy brochure paper, matte labels, glossy labels, gold foil labels, cardstock, semi-gloss business cards, several envelopes, and matte transparencies. All with no problems.
The tip-out, manual feeder tray (Tray 1) on the front is easy to get to and easy to adjust for various width paper, envelopes, and labels. It handles small envelopes and mini-sheet labels just fine.
I love the flip up LCD display. It allows easy viewing of the screen when sitting or standing in front of it. I do both.
CONS
Unfortunately, the minimum width paper this printer can handle is 76 mm and the width of a standard personal check is 70 mm. So they can't be feed reliably. I'll have to keep my old black HP LaserJet 1300 around just to print and endorse personal checks. I didn't think to check on this specification before I purchased it. That probably would've been a show stopper if I had.
Obviously, the biggest complaint is the high cost and low sheet capacity of the toner cartridges which is outrageous! But, I knew that before I bought it. These four cartridges run about $120 a piece meaning that replacing all four runs over $500 with tax and/or shipping! The print quality is awesome, but good lord that's a big expense just to print paper. Fortunately, it allows you to override the toner low and out warnings so you can squeeze out every sheet of paper possible. I bought my first laser back in the early 1990s and it had a $50 black toner cartridge that was rated for 8,000 sheets of paper. It lasted for a long, long time. These cartridges will set you back over $500 and only have a 2,500 sheet capacity. I'm not good at math, but I believe that is over a 3,200 percent increase in printing cost over the last 20 years! Maybe someone better at math can check that for me. But, in all fairness the cost of a color laser in the early 1990s was over $20,000. Now a good one like this one is less than a $1,000 dollars.
Overall, it's the best printer I've ever owned, but costly to operate. However, you get what you pay for. Yet, HP could come down quite a bit on their overpriced consumables.
What's great about it: Nearly everything
What's not so great: High cost of toner cartridges!

Best sound ever!
By ski25x
This sound bar is by far the best sounding of all that I've listened to. The sub-woofer offers clean booming bass, and has its own volume control for just the right setting. The bar itself offers much better mid-range and very clear, non-tinny upper range. Installation was very easy, especially with the wireless sub-woofer. I use it with the provided optical cable and have it connected to a new Visio 55" Smart TV. While an HDMI cable would be preferred, there is no HDMI offering. My only negative would be the lack of compatibility to existing remote controls. According to Klipsch tech support, programming the volume and channel buttons on any Smart TV's remote will not work due to "different technology". Although programming codes are provided by Klipsch for integration with DirecTV remotes, they do not work. Neither Klipsch nor DirecTV have a solution. Perhaps a good universal remote might work, but I'm not sure. Other than having to use the Klipsch remote for adjusting the volume, this sound bar is awesome. I would recommend it any day for someone who values quality sound.

Do you know how much of my internet data plan will be used running one camera?

We have Dish internet and a 10GB/month data plan package. I didn't see anywhere where it indicated how much internet data was used by one camera unit.
I doubt a 10gb plan would be adequate for a camera like this. You setup, configure, and view everything about this camera through the Samsung SmartCam website. The amount of data transferred over the Internet would be a lot. How much exactly would be impossible to predict. It is definitely a device made for unlimited data plans.

However, you could configure the camera to record to the local micro SD card and then remove the card and install it in your PC to view the videos.

Is the camera capable of only recording when motion is detected? Or does it record everything, then auto delete old video once full?

Camera saves video to the optional micro SD you install into the underside of the camera. I purchased 64gb cards for all my cameras.
There is a software setting that allows the camera to begin overwriting the oldest video once the card is full.
The camera can be set for continuous recording. Which is a series of 5 min videos.
Motion detection video happens like this: The camera constantly monitors for motion within the field dimensions you select. Once it detects motion above the sensitivity level you select, it records the 5 seconds of video preceding the motion event and then records another 25 seconds for a total of 30 seconds of video per event. If motion is still occurring the camera immediately records another 30 second event and so on.

Does this camera require a specific wifi or router?

I purchased a different brand Wifi camera the other day. Turns out the stinkin thing requires some certain wifi. I am living at an RV park and do not know the questions it asked. They asked me to change the router or something. All I know is all my electronics are connected with no issues. I do not want to make another purchase before I know this one will work! The other camera would not even detect the wifi connection even though the computer I was setting it up on was connected. I DONT GET IT!

How is the quality sound on the two way spaker system?

do you need to be standing close to the camera to speak? Is there background noise that makes it hard to hear the voice of the person talking through the speaker?
