Combat is very diverse. Unbelievably GREAT! But the role playing choices are disappointing as they make no difference in the outcome of that choice. The story is pretty good but your character choices don't really affect the outcome. Be it whether you choose one more controversial answer over the other the outcomes are the same, so if they would have married the excellent combat with the story development of each quest outcome that would have improved the game to Excellent! There is no follow through of the quest characterization. It is almost the exact opposite of Skyrim, where the combat is fabulous and much more colorful, but the choices I make in Skyrim really matter in the overall plot development. So if Amalur would have made the quest plot choices matter more then the whole game would be 5 out of 5!
What's great about it: Combat, Action and move combos on par with God of War!
