This iSimple BlueJax ISBT32 adapter connects to most standard 3.5mm auxiliary inputs, so you can wirelessly stream music from a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device. The built-in rechargeable battery offers more than 8 hours of use for extended listening

after a initial bad unit with a defective plug( i think it was a returned item best buy just put right back on the shelf because the packaging was too easy to open compared to the replacement unit) I charged it with my micro usb phone cord in minutes and have been using the new unit for ten days now without an issue. the 8 hour battery may not seem like a lot but for daily errands its plenty to last a week and takes just 30 minutes to charge from dead. I have paired it with iPhone 5, old iPod 2nd gen, and an android phone without issue. pairs is seconds if directions are followed. Very easy. The music fidelity thats lost is truly minimal, at least between apple products and itself. Ive done very in depth comparison between cord and cordless. i loose one block or maybe from volume level 5 to 4 in my ford escape stock radio. same with bass and such. Very acceptable.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good sound for such small speakers
By aposiopesis
I would have given this 5 stars, but the speaker doesn't have a light that indicates whether it is on or off. It's a small thing, but you would think that Bose could afford to have a light at this price point.

Yes it has a white light for power as well as blinking when volume is turned up or down. also, when the voice enhancement is turned on theres a orange light activated till its off or deactivated.

Not enough bass; obviously. Way better sound from the bigger speakers Bose offers.

Bass
June 1, 2016
To expect this little sound bar to produce glass shattering bass is absurd. Its a simple but very high quality sounding speaker bar. Its meant to provide an easy way to improve tv sound without all the hassle. It sounds better than any other bar without a sub. and when you listen to other sounders without there subs there is no Bass at all. no better than tv, just goes louder. and Ive compared this lower level bar to the solo 15 there really inset much difference for the price difference. the only system thats even worth the money is 1200 dollars.

Sweet speaker

You cannot hook up cable box AND blue ray player and easily switch between them. That is the only drawback.
The sound is awesome. Great value.

hookup

The speaker is meant to be primarily plugged into tv. I have mine optical corded to tv, and everything plugged into tv can be heard thru speaker. Satellite, Xbox, Ps3, DVD Player. all run by the Bose remote. switching between isn't an issue. the TV input switches the tv to the box desired, and the white buttons followed by source power turns them all on or off.

Cops around?

a detector can only show alerts if law enforcement is using a detectible device. Just because a police car is sitting in a parking lot or on the side of the road, doesn't mean something is on and functioning...

Does Solo 5 has the sub-woofer? Compared to soundlink 3 is it more powerful in terms of bass effect?

No it doesn't have a sub woofer. its not designed to. its an all inclusive speaker designed to give great sound, but not more than what is supposed to be heard. Its an exceptional speaker. Its not roof raising loud but its better than any tv speaker and plenty loud enough to watch tv or a movie.
