After having a bad experience with a previous lenovo (Y580) in which the battery stopped charging after using the battery gauge calibration utility(an known issue they never resolved), I took a gamble and bought this Yoga 720 4K for my son because I liked the versatility of a 2-in-1 with great (on paper) specs (7th gen Core I7; discrete 14nm NVidia Graphics; NVMe SSD, Thunderbolt 3, etc.). I had to return the first unit because a visible (and very distracting) horizontal line appeared across the top right corner of the screen after a couple of weeks of use. The replacement unit seemed to be fine only for the exact same issue to affect it shortly after my return/exchange period expired. Very very dissappointed!! Will never buy or recommend a Lenovo again!

Best Screen On An Android Tablet So Far

Coming from a Toshiba Excite 10, the screen on the TF700 is much brighter (in superIPS+ mode), and sharper (higher resolution). But sadly, I had to return my unit because it literally has a bubble in the gorilla glass 2! At first I thought it was a dead pixel or a piece of dust but looking at it closely, it's really a bubble left there during the manufacturing of the glass. I would not have mind if the bubble is not in the viewable part of the screen but it was. The ETA of my replacement unit is July 29 so I'm just anxiously waiting and hoping that it'll be flawless.
From the time that I've had with my defective unit, I really did not notice any noticeable performance improvement over the Excite 10 in day to day use. Although the Quadrant score showed a 700 point increase and Antutu by more than 2,000 points.
Sound volume is another thing that I was very dissappointed. The Excite 10 had 2 (stereo) very loud for a tablet speakers. The TF700 only has one and it sounds really weak. I guess I'll just have to really more on my bluetooth headphones and external speakers.
Another thing that I liked better on the Excite was a separate microUSB port where my kids could plug in their PS3 controller and play Dead Trigger. I also miss the full size SD card reader on the Excite 10.

What's great about it: Bright and Sharp Screen
What's not so great: Quality Control Issues, Low speaker volume, Mono Sound from only 1 speaker, no microUSB port
I would recommend this to a friend!
