You're the type of person who's always had the music in you. Music affects your mood, reminds you of significant moments in your life and soothes your soul. Whether you've just never had the opportunity to learn or you wish your skill level was higher, Rocksmith Guitar and Bass can bring you closer to that dream.Rocksmith's revolutionary 1/4"-to-USB cord actually allows any guitar or bass with a 1/4" output to play through your Xbox 360 — no matter if it's the relic collecting dust in your attic, a brand-new investment from the music shop, or the tried and true guitar or bass you pick up all the time. An extensive library of beloved songs from multiple genres brings you even closer to that dream when you get the opportunity to learn, play and memorize your favorites through challenges, tutorials and mini games. Rocksmith Guitar and Bass moves at your pace with dozens of difficulty levels that automatically adjust to your skill level, allowing gradual progressions in both guitar and bass that you can see and brag about. Ok, I am a musician. From Pre-Elementary with piano lessons for years, then Grade school with Trumpet (and all brass through high school). Bass Guitar starting mid High School Jass Band.
So, does Rocksmith teach you? Well, not in a musical fashion. But in a Guitar Hero way.
Yes, you play the notes, but in a tablature style, not musical staff/scale/half,quarter,eight note style.
Yes, your fingers gain memory. Yes, you learn chords. And Yes, you learn Techniques (Harmonics, tremelos, bends, double stops, etc)
From a musician's standpoint, I have ZERO issues recommending this "GAME" to an absolute begginer to guitar, and if they catch on, Great! If they don't catch on, then I'll also suggest getting Lessons off You-Tube, DVD's or real instructor. Finger positioning can really through people off as this "GAME" won't tell you fingering and people can become frustrated. Or just use 1 Finger to try to hit Each note as they fly by, instead of using all 4.
Anyway, it's a blast!
Oh, 1 Cable will fit PC, XBOX, PS3.
I found this out when I bought 2 XBOX and 1 PC version (so I can jam on PC) The cables are identical in every way. Just a Guitar to USB jack that can work on PC w/o Rocksmith as a MIC input. So I returned 1 XBOX version w/o opening it. And use the cable (for my wife) back and forth from PC to XBOX.

Awesome game! hours and hours into it, still loving it. Plays using STEAM but that too is a nice things since if I lose my disk, I can re-download it.
Graphics are jaw dropping. Using a nVidia 560Ti and zero issues. I would get a newer card, but I got an arrow in the knee.

Been using Trackballs since mid 90's

I am a MMORPG player in a raiding Guild. Wife too.
We use nothing but these trackballs (Since Microsoft stopped making their 5 button ones). I recline back and on one leg I use this, other leg I use a G13. And since I use headset (ventrilo) to communicate, the keyboard G15 stays on the desk.
With Zero Movement, I don't need any desktop space. Has never failed me... except dropping them 1,000 times LOL.
My Best Buy number: 79943635
What's great about it: Stationary. Excellent for MMORPGS too!
What's not so great: Breaks if you drop it 1000 times!

Great Winder w/Clipper
on April 10, 2013

Great price for this combo tool.
Yeah, you can get winders from $3.99 at a music shop... and a pair of clippers for $3.99 at the hardware store. But why not get both in 1.
PLUS, it's triples (in my case) as a great Floyd Rose or Edge III bridge support while changing all strings at once & cleaning fretboard and doesn't scratch surface.
What's great about it: Does it's job!
What's not so great: Doesn't string the guitar for you! But nothing really

Very Accurate

This thing is bright, accurate and a few other bells and whistles, like a visual metronome.
Now, after I bought this, I went to guitar store to get some polish and saw they were selling the Snark as well... for $10 less. At first I was going to bring this back to Best Buy until I found out there are different models with more functions. The one sold at Best Buy seems to be top of the line Snark clip on
Have to share it with the wife and her Ibonez Bass, which it works excellently on as well.

Great for Beginners!

Ok,my Re-newed interest in playing was sparked from Rocksmith. The sole reason I bought this kit.
Granted, this is the kiddy version of a real Gibson, but it is solidly built. (I've read a few other reviews about it being shoddy... I guess you win some and you lose some.) But just remember, this is NOT a $1K guitar!
Amp and supplied videos and cables were all ok. Extra strings, yeah but get a set of Ernie Balls while at Best Buy :)
Now in the What's Not So Great response above...
SET THIS UP. Intonation was Waaaay of. Action was a little high. But this is TOTALLY adjustable from headstock and bridge. (Bridge is fixed for all 6 strings, not individual.
My advice for this guitar. It's a low cost electric kit. And if you know what you're doing or take to to a professional and Set it up, it really really does the job!

What's not so great: Needs to be set-up before it really plays well.

Keep things quick and easy while preparing a meal everyone loves. The large hot dog cage fits two regular-size or extra-plump hot dogs. Adjust the heat setting to toast hot dogs to your preference. When done, easily remove the hot dog cage using the included mini tongs. Add your favorite hot dog toppings and enjoy!

Best $25 I ever spent
By Dyseman from Houston, Tx
Ok, 5 to 6 days a week, when I do runs for company, I stop at a FastFood establishment for a hotdog or burger... $400+ each month EASY! (Buying for my wife and myself each trip daily)
This, makes it so I haven't gone to one in weeks! I grabbed some Turkey franks and bags of buns, threw them in the store freezer and now I'm down to $30 per month? Wow!
BUT!!! You MUST clean the Bun sides after use or your bread will stick. I found out QUICKLY, don't use buns that are Humid or out of Freezer or it becomes GLUE!
Oh yeah, FULL BUN LENGHT Franks fit PERFECTLY!!! Nom Nom Nom!

I found that if the franks are chilled or semi-thawed/frozen. Pop the franks down once w/o bread, then again w/ bread. Depending on the frozeness (word? lol) you might pop it up earlier.
You'll get the feel for it.
It's been a while since I bought it, and still love it! Even put some smaller sausages in the thing. Love it!

My 802.11 B router lastest years until my G Router... years until my N Router...
This router. Sept 2014 to July 2015. NOT EVEN A YEAR and the Powerlight flashes. Bricked for whatever reason. Outside 90 days? Netgear CHARGES you to even talk to them on it. Back to LINKSYS I go. Never EVER failed me.
Don't let looks deceive you. This Product SUCKS! Oh, and don't get me started on 2.4GHz dropping a LOT.

site search filter?

I want to search for PC games, sold only by Best Buy, and see only what's available in-store. I don't want to see what I can purchase from other vendors and simply pay through Best Buy, nor see anything that isn't available in one of my local stores. So why aren't such filter selections implemented? Until this is resolved, many people will simply go elsewhere to shop for games, so get a clue BB, or no sale for you!
I had the same issue while looking for items at BB as well. But I found that you can drill down to BB only items, then My store items sometimes. Though I find myself having to check each item to see if it is avail at my store.

So I agree, and the work around is a lot of work as well. But I eventually find what I'm looking for. If I have to order... I generally go elsewhere.
