Nintendo DSi builds on the DS Lite with a succession of new and enhanced features designed to appeal to both gamers and casual users. At a mere 18.9mm thin, the almost effortlessly portable DSi fits conveniently into your pocket and your life, making it easy to play games on the go, take a quick mental break in the middle of your busy day or even share favorite photos and music with friends. The 3.25" screen of the DSi brings images to life with even greater depth and clarity for intense gaming or convenient photo showcasing. Two built-in cameras, one on the interior and one on the exterior, make it easy to snap photos of yourself or your friends, and a variety of photo-related functions let you compare facial photos, edit colors, distort shapes and other fun activities. Indulge in your favorite music with the DSi music player, which lets you play favorite music saved on an SD card, adjust the pitch or speed, view imagery generated by the Music Visualizer, edit audio files you've recorded using the DSi microphone and more, and the improved speaker volume and sound quality make music and gaming audio even more immersive. I carry my DSi with me EVERYWHERE I go!!

I begged my fiance for a DSi for months after it released. Nintendo really knows how to please the masses with their platforms. The DS lite was great, and the DSi is just that much better, and for only $40 more.
The dual camera option is great, and I love playing with the different options of color and stamps to create fun little snapshots. One thing I haven't seen advertised ANYWHERE is the connectivity to Facebook. I can post photos straight to my Facebook account, as long as I have a Wi-Fi connection, and my friends really get a kick out of it. The internet browsing is slow and doesn't always work, but this little guy is aimed at kids, so I can understand why it doesn't need to be fantastic.
If I had kids, I would really be sold on the parental control options. You can limit what is viewed on the internet, limit the sending of photos, and the best part, limit ESRB ratings. So if your kid goes to someone elses house and borrows a game which you don't think is appropriate, the DSi locks itself and can only be bypassed by a security code (which you can do in the initial set up).
I love the option for an SD card, and so far I've noticed you don't HAVE to buy Nintendo's special white SD made for the DSi or the Wii, I use an old one from my camera, plus the same size card is available in the camera section for cheaper.
When it came down to a handheld (being a huge gamer) there was no contest between PSP and the DSi. Yes the PSP has much better graphics and internet connectivity, but you buy it to play games, and a handful is all you're going to have to chose from in any store. The DS games in my local Best Buy takes up an entire aisle, whereas the PSP games have a short 4 ft. section. I've also noticed that most PSP games are adult oriented with very few children/family/something different choices (just like the PS3 games). So far I have a wonderful exercise program, a cooking program that hasn't failed me yet, and the classic Zelda. Three things that don't even exist for the PSP.
So far, the only thing that has me perplexed and annoyed is that fact that it's almost impossible to find a data transfer cable. The DSi can play music like an MP3 player, but so far the only way I can see to get music on there is to put some MP3's on my SD card...something that's impossible because I don't have a memory card slot on my laptop, and no other way to move music onto it. I must admit, the music option was a big selling point for me, but I'm not in the least bit upset, nor do I even notice, I'm too busy playing.
What's great about it: Vast game choices, something for everyone, fun and funky accessories
What's not so great: No data transfer cable available
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Choice for Beginners!

This was my first purchase of a workout/fitness video ever. I had never done yoga, but I was interested in trying it out. This turned out to be the perfect beginners guide from the get go.
The instructor, Elena, has a very calming voice and she moves fluidly and slowly so you can easily learn the routine. She gives you options on how to intensify your stretches all the while reminding you not to push yourself for fear of injury. The setting is beautiful and the music has a calming effect.
After a week of yoga every morning, I noticed a CONSIDERABLE difference in my flexibility, and I was no longer having lower back pain by the end of the day. During that time, I lost approximately 5 lbs (whether yoga had anything to do with it I have no idea), and even with that small amount, my clothes seemed to fit looser just due to elongating my muscles. Now that I'm doing a more rigourous home workout, I use this yoga DVD as a back up when my muscles are sore from boxing, or I just don't feel like cardio for the day.
The only downside would be Elena's verbal cues. Starting out, knowing nothing of a downward-facing-dog, I noticed when I listened to her verbal movements, once I got in sight of the TV she was way ahead of me. Now that I could do the routine with my eyes closed (which doesn't feel boring or repetitious at all), I feel like we're moving at the same speed and it makes for a much more enjoyable experience. I suggest watching the video first, to get an idea of the terminology and the pace, then try it for yourself.
I plan on purchasing the next DVD in this line because yoga have become so much fun.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, REALLY improves flexibility, great morning starter
What's not so great: Verbal cues are hard to follow at first if you don't know the terminology
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you have the console stand? Do you have the wii sports dis?

I have a broken sports dis, and console stand. I would like to replace with new.
Unfortunately Wii Sports is not sold seperately from the console. Wii Sport Resort was released as an upgrade/replacement for those who lost or broke their Wii Sport disc. It doesn't have boxing or tennis, but it does have sword fighting and ping pong.

As for the stand, you could definitely try a used game store. Sometimes when people trade in, or something is sent in for repairs, they have the extras like original cords and/or stands lying around the store for cheap. That's how I replaced mine. I suppose you could always look for Wii Sports while you're there, on the off chance someone traded it in. Hope this helped, good luck!
