Ignore the previous review. Respectable, straightforward horror film. The killer is not exactly original but the movie is as good as you should expect. No masterpiece but it you're a fan of horror you should enjoy the movie for it's dark atmosphere and slasher movie core. I would say it's Frozen with an axe-murderer.

The movie is a worthy sequel to the original. Scream Factory features the definitive Halloween 2 release. Better transfer than the Universal release and some amazing special features, as can be expected with all Scream Factory releases. Support this company and give them your money. It's worth it.

What we all expected with the first film gets delivered in the sequel. Better action, better plot, and a far better villain. Jean Claude Van-Damme is incredible in this. Good to see him back.

I'm a fan of Sam Raimi and his Spider-Man films but they had a goofy tone that was sometimes unfavorable. This Spider-Man exceeded my expectations. The whole movie is more grounded and flows extremely well. The romantic subplot with Gwen Stacy is also very well done.

House of the Devil is a modern day throwback to the early horror movies of the 70's. The opening credits are incredibly old-school and awesome and set up the movie perfectly. Director Ti West knows the horror genre very well and if you enjoy this film, checkout The Innkeepers.
