I use this mouse and keyboard while sitting on the couch. In fact I'm using it right now to type this review.
Its perfect for a guy/gal whom wants a light weight keyboard they can sit on their lap.

What's great about it: Lightweight, Easy to setup, on/off switch, battery life. Hotkeys that actually have a purpose
What's not so great: Mouse feels a little cheap, but overall still ok. Had a little delay in keystrokes when playing games. Nothing major.
I would recommend this to a friend!
