Good except for odd sized pockets

I have had this backpack for about 8 months now. It gets the job done however; the small pockets on the sides and in the front are not very practical. The pockets on the sides can only hold a packet of tissues or gum. The one in the front's max size is that of a CD case. The other pockets are good. I enjoy the laptop sleeve it came with. I just wish it had more room for my cords, books, folders, etc. because I am a student.
What's great about it: Looks good, protects laptop well
What's not so great: almost useless side pockets, needs more room for books and cords
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Choice

This machine is great for what I am doing (gaming/school work). My last laptop overheated a lot and this doesn't come close. Its idle GPU temp maintains at 50 - 60 c. which I think is good. (I don't have fans kicking on that sound like a jet engine while playing Fallout 3). Out of box it idled between 65 - 70 degrees but I installed the video drivers mentioned in an 80 page review on a web forum. My first G60 had an issue where the headphone jack sensors got broke so it thought there were always headphones plugged in... this resulted in no sound out of the laptop's speakers. Best Buy allowed me to either send it in for repair or exchange it with no questions asked... I exchanged it and this one has no problems that I can see. The graphics are great. It can handle many graphic intensive games. I'm excited to finally have a reliable machine for school. If it handles all games throw at it then school work (reports, spreadsheets, videos, etc...) will be no problem. Yes, the other reviews are correct, the built in speakers don't put out very good sound. When I am at school I use headphones and when I am at home I plug in external speakers so I don't ever notice. I think the lack in sound is well worth the price/quality/graphics/performance.
What's great about it: Idle GPU temperature between 50 - 60 Celsius, Geforce 260M, Backlit keyboard, Overall perfomance
What's not so great: The soft hand rest material scratches easily, Fingerprints show easily
I would recommend this to a friend!
