The late Patrick Swayze at his best

Patrick Swayze was outstanding in any movie that he played in. This one however is very touching. It has a lot of the paranormal in it, and Whoopie Goldberg is absolutely fantastic in helping to be a "medium" and the go- between for the dead and the living. The movie is both funny, sad and has a touch of "spooky and goblins" in it when the bad guy gets what is coming to him. This movie has a romantic side to it with Demi Moore being the main love interest. She and Patrick have a great charisma in the movie. All acting, by three well known artists was fantastic.
What's great about it: The Acting, the scenery, the music and the story line
What's not so great: Nothing in my estimation

Director Peter Weir's high-seas adventure Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World stars Russell Crowe as Captain Jack Aubrey. Adapted from the series of novels by Patrick O'Brian, the film is presented on DVD in widescreen with a wealth of audio options. Not only can viewers choose either DTS 5.1 Surround Sound or Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound versions of the original English soundtrack, there are also Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks dubbed in French and Spanish. Along with English and Spanish subtitles, the disc is rounded out by a handful of theatrical trailers. Fans interested in additional supplemental features should check out the two-disc edition that was released simultaneously with this disc. A full-screen version is also available.

Russel Crowe in "Master and Commander'

The acting and the cinematography are very good, however the PLOT itself leaves a little bit to be desired. There is a coherent story, and some awfully sad scenes, but nothing that a young teenager couldn't handle. I would not suggest this for very young children due to the violence of some of the scenes. Russell Crowe is an outstanding actor, but this story line just doesn't quite bring out his full potential in my estimation. I thoroughly enjoyed the old ships with sails and the action they brought forth on the screen with "manning the sails and high seas". Really great photograhy here.
What's great about it: Old Ships and high seas adventure
What's not so great: not a real strong story line in my estimation

One of the BEST Musical and Movie Productions ever

An absolutely marvelous and intriguing movie-musical. The singing done by Emme Lou Rosson and Gerard Butler is absolutely outstanding. I didn't know that Gerard Butler could sing this well until I saw him in this movie. Its a shame that he wastes that beautiful voice of his on non-musical events. Emme Lou Rosson has a most astonishing voice. Seeing as how they had to follow the Andrew Lloyd Weber stage production of " Phantom of the Opera", and that was a most difficult thing to do, they really did a marvelous job. There a few instances that could have been better, but then what movie doesn't have this aspect. The scenery for the most part is great. They just did an all round fantastic job on this. I bought it on regular DVD and may have to go buy the Blue-Ray now. Oh well, such is progress.
What's great about it: Everything so far

The Bourne Ultimatum and the other two series.

Matt Damon seems to be one of the few actors today that can make a really awsome exciting action "series" and not use every four letter word in the book. I love the intensity of this series. Especially the Bourne Ultimatum. It keeps you on the edge of your chair and you hang there until the very end! Superb acting and action! It just goes to show you that you don't have to use vulgar obscene language to have an exciting movie or series of movies. Matt Damon keeps you coming back for more and more! The movies are action packed, but not obscene in any form. I loved them all and hope he continues to follow through with his acting career and the standards he has set forth! Go Matt Damon GO!!
What's great about it: Everything, great action, and NO VULGAR LANGUAGE, thank you Matt Damon

The Bourne Ultimatum

Matt Damon seems to be one of the few actors that can make an absolutley action packed thriller with suspense without using every four letter word in the book. I have watched all of his movies and they are great! He is a marvelous actor and gets "into the character". Just my opinion though, but I am impressed that you don't have to listen to all of the vulgarity that motion pictures love to throw at us. It just goes to show you that you can make a great film and series and keep it clean verbally and sexually. Although violence is everywhere, that is what it is all about. But it is achieved in good taste. Thanks MATT!
What's great about it: Marvelous action thriller with NO Profanity.
What's not so great: Nothing!
