I bought this because it was the least expensive cable modem available. Set-up is extremely easy - just plug in the right wires in the right places. I lost a little speed (from 12 mbps to 9 mbps) from the wall to a laptop I plugged directly into it, but that may be attributed to the length of the cables I was running and the 2 coax connectors I had in the line.
What's great about it: easy to set up, least expensive modem available
What's not so great: didn't carry full internet speed from cable to my laptop- but came close

Still the best comedy out there

This is still the same show - if you liked it before, you'll still like this. If you didn't, this probably wont change your mind. The humor hasn't changed much in its nature, but they still find new jokes to tell so the show still feels fresh and new. The intros to each episode I think were better this season than any previous season. The Blu-Ray plays without a problem once you get it loaded, although load time is a little longer than other blu-rays. Features also include access to online streaming of season 7 episodes. In general, Blu-Ray for shows doesn't have a huge picture/sound quality difference from DVD, but in this case the difference was appreciable. The picture especially was much improved - far crisper image.
What's great about it: extra features, best intro scenes yet
I expected to like this movie, and was afraid I would be disappointed. I wasn't. It isn't epic, but it is a great piece of entertainment. Well acted, and a good balance of intensity and humor. It will be one my family will re-watch often. If you liked the video game, you'll enjoy the movie (I had lost my copy of the game and went and bought a new copy of it the day after seeing this movie, so that should tell you how much we enjoyed it). The surround sound is good quality - present, but not overdone. (It's not comparable to some of the top surround movies like Master & Commander.) Picture quality is also very good. Digital copy is easy to redeem, and excellent quality. I haven't yet watched the DVD copy. I haven't looked at any of the DVD extras, so I can't comment on them.
What's great about it: includes digital copy, dvd, blu ray
Learn more about Magnolia Premium Installation Reproduce cinematic home theater sound right in your home using this center-channel speaker that features dual 4" woofers and 90W of power for a lush soundscape. The wall-mounting brackets allow for vertical and horizontal installation.
We went with this speaker to anchor our surround-sound setup, and it does exactly what we want it to: carries the bulk of the sound, delivers crisp/clear audio. Our previous speakers were losing the audio in the surround sound and films could not be understood (such as Sherlock Holmes). This fixed that problem perfectly. It is far superior to my other speakers currently, but having listened to many and shopped around, this is an excellent quality speaker. At regular price, it's a good deal but nothing amazing. If you can get it on sale (like I did), then it's a great speaker for the value. It is also extremely flexible - it is designed to be used either vertically (for surrounds) or horizontally (center channel) and can be hung or set on a surface.
What's great about it: versatile, clear/crisp mids

Great Show... Bad Blu-Ray

The video skips... the audio is just fine. This happened on two copies of this blu-ray. Tested the player with shutter island afterward and it ran just fine.
Returning it tomorrow, much to my chagrin.

Blu Ray or Blu Ray Player?
September 17, 2010
I suspect the problem may actually be your Blu-Ray Player.... some have issues with different movies. I have one of the original players, and it is starting to have some issues where audio skips out, or even trouble reading brand new discs. Newer players shouldn't have that problem, but I have seen reports of some mid- to low-level players struggling with certain discs. It's worth looking into. Generally if a Blu Ray disc is going to be released, it will be problem free. It's tougher to develop a player that will seamlessly play any content thrown at it.
