Great Album

Great debut album from this Michigan 6 piece. Great musical content and writing. The programming on Synth is well done and not over produced. Yells are clear and easily understood as is the singing. With that said, the screamer in the band reminds me of a cross between Misery Signals old front man and old Haste The Day. Singing is good but sometimes the use of AutoTune as an effect is over done. The singer can sing so it's not for pitch correction as much as an effect. The breakdowns are really good, definitely a crowd pleaser. I would recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of bands like The Devil Wears Prada and A Day to Remember. If you like either pick it up. If you like Miss May I and The Black Dahlia Murder this band probably isn't for you, but still give it a shot.
What's great about it: For Fans of The Devil Wears Prada and A Day To Remember
What's not so great: Autotune used a bit too often
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't work with Snow Leopard. Poor cust. supp.
By mandgale
I had my Snow Leopard system installed by Apple. I have successfuly installed every program on my computer until I got to Photoshop CS5. With PS CS5 I got an error message saying "Installation to case-sensitive drives is not supported." I contacted Adobe support who knew nothing about this and said the problem was with Mac and that I needed to contact Apple. So basically "Photoshop CS5 for Mac" is not compatible with Mac. I contacted Apple customer support and talked to a helpful technician who basically had to go on to Adobe's site and forum boards (where this is apparently a very common problem). It is astonishingly unbelievable that I got better Adobe customer support from Apple than I did from Adobe.
After repairing permissions etc., the Apple technician determined the problem with the installation is sloppy scripting from Adobe programmers. The only workarounds are to completely reformat my hard drive and make it case-insensitive (which is not how it came) or to do what some kid did which is write a scripting program that changes the Access File Log's capital letters to lower case. This is a little over my head, but the Apple technician said to call Adobe and see if they could help me with that. They couldn't.
All in all, I paid several hundred dollars for a program that doesn't work on new Mac Book Pro and for a company that pushes away its customer support to Apple, who seemed remarkably 100 times more qualified to diagnose Adobe's scripting problems than Adobe itself.
It is unconscionable that Adobe Photoshop cannot provide support for its own product. Like I told the Adobe rep., I have installed a lot of professional grade software on my Mac without encountering ANY problems and the fact that the only problem I have is with Adobe Photoshop seems to indicate the problem is with Adobe and not Mac. Nevertheless, he told me my only solution was to contact Apple.
What a waste of money and time. To make this work I would have to totally erase and reformat my hard drive. Time to move on to Aperture.

Mac drive formatting
May 15, 2011
Older Macs will not work with this installation due to the native formatting on older hard drives. Older Macs use FAT HDD structure for the OS. This is not an issue with Adobe creating a sloppy install script. Sadly, the only work around is to reformat your Mac hdd to be FAT case senstive journaled formatting and it will install without any issues. Any new Mac will install without any issues.

difference between noice canceling and sound isollating

Noise cancelling headphones introduce artifacts into your music to cancel out outside noise. This is accomplished by using a microprocessor and a microphone that listens and chooses the correct counter frequency so to speak to counteract noise. This is particularly useful for sounds that are constant such as the engine whine of a jet, a lawn mower, or the sound of groups of people chatting in the background. Isolating headphones do exactly that, they isolate or block outside noise from coming into your ears by sealing the driver into the ear canal, thus blocking outside noise.

Should i get the Beats Studios or the Beats Pro?

i listen to music on a daily basis, my friend has the studios and i asolutely loooove the SQ, but now tht the Pros came out i dnt know which one to get, i also have heard tht the pros SQ is bttr than the studios, is tht true?
The Beats Pro are much more durable. They have more weight to them though so if you listen to music in a studio environment for many hours a day your neck and ears will get sore. However, if you're just an audiophile looking for a nice set of headphones then either way will be fine. Many people are saying that the audio on the Pros is better but that can be argued all day long. The only major benefit to getting the pros is flip out ear cups so you can monitor music (i.e. using these to DJ), sturdier build (made out of aluminum), and dual input/output plugs. Other than that I would call it a draw.
