I watched unwillingly and left surprised

Well balanced and well directed. I was not impressed nor discouraged by the the soundtrack or score. The acting on the other hand was fantastic. Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric stood out. generally the children in a film like this get most of the credit (and don't get me wrong they were great), but Patric and Diaz stole the show. Alec Baldwin was his usual amazing. He is so good that you don't even notice how much heart and character he brings to the films and shows he appears in. BRAVO!
This movie is a tear jerker! Boy or girl you will feel the pain, loss, love and dramatic circumstances surrounding these people. I was particularly impressed with how the story was delivered. It was not what i expected. It was much better and well executed. I would love to go into more detail, but the details already do their best to spoil the show. Pick this one up and then borrow it to your friends. Replay value is low for most, but if you have had the unfortunate experiences in the film it may be therapeutic.
What's great about it: Superb Acting from Top to Bottom
What's not so great: They want every tear they can get from you!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth Missing

Surrogates fails from the very beginning of the film. Without spoiling the film for those who are Bruce WIllis fans, the film centers around the idea that we are all living our lives out through our own robotic counterparts called Surrogates. The robots are controlled by each human/user from a single location (home, office, the moon, ect.) while delivering a virtual experience making the robots experiences feel authentic from your chair at home.
The movie/book confronts the moral issues of this type of lifestyle. What ramifications it would have on our race, society and relationships. I did not read the book, but as far as this movie goes, they failed in every way to get the viewer involved in the story, care about the characters or the politics surrounding the characters int he film. "i-Robot" is a much better option in this genre tackling these subjects in a far more entertaining and polished manner.
The sound track was off, the editing was poor and the special effects far below what we are used to seeing with Bruce Willis as the headliner.
If I were you I would wait for one of two things. Bestbuy to put this in the $5.00 bin or cable.
What's great about it: Bruce Willis
What's not so great: Everything else
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
