celines world tour

great dvd for the super hardcore fan of celine. i consider myself a huge fan of hers, but this dvd just doesn't deliver and leaves me a bit bored. i would have liked to see better staging -, something less of a racetrack and the dancers did not fill the stage and create any energy. celines voice is remarkable though. i believe if you turn the dvd on as background music, its fiine. i hate to reveiw like this, but i dont think i missed anything by not going to the show in person, vegas is still her best in my book.
What's great about it: seeing her live and hearing her live
What's not so great: too many covers and not enough of her own music
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

celines world tour

love celine, but this tour isnt my favorite. she hits all of the hight notes but, does a lot of material that she is not known for or had them as hits. a lot of covers. the show just seems a bit thrown together with some average dancers, buy if you are a celine fan but buy celines las vegas show if you are new to her as a fan!
What's not so great: she sings too many cover songs
I would recommend this to a friend!

a dvd that james taylor and carole king fans can appriciate. it is a dvd with great performances by the best songwriters singing their songs. the music is timeless and it a dvd that diehard fians will love. i dont think this is the best live show james has produced, in fact i know its not, but, the genious of having the two together is so enjoyable!
What's great about it: two original songwriters reunion
What's not so great: too short
I would recommend this to a friend!

if you are intrested in seeing a great show without all the fanfare, this should be on your "to buy" list. barbra is nothing short of fantasic in this performance. she doesn't do something just to sell a dvd. there are stories and events to share with each song, a biography if you will. i like the way she speaks to the audience and having them interact with her and her show. its not big lights and costume changes...its simply barbra and her beautiful voice!
What's great about it: its barbra!
What's not so great: its barbra, what could be wrong!
I would recommend this to a friend!

great for a true fan

love george michaels voice and newer compositions. he knows how to make you feel what he is singing and uses his heart and soul to embrace you. i think this is overdue and a great addition to any music lover.
What's great about it: beautiful production
What's not so great: profanity

fantastic show, so different than "stripped." the staging is fantastic, the lighting and screens behind the musicians are stunning. she looks beautiful and sings her best hits. the only problem i have is, she does alot of vocal "runs" instead of singing the words. this is a must-have for any christina fan or someone who is curious about her live shows!
What's great about it: great costuming
What's not so great: camera moves too much
I would recommend this to a friend!
