Incredible Sound, theater like experience

For some reason there were a couple reviews that had me cautious on this sound bar when talking about HDMI and issues. The only thing I can think is that they did not read the instructions and use and HDMI (ARC) port on the TV. I have it connected with fiber optic and it sounds incredible. Great price because I got it on sale at $750. Very happy with it and would buy again in a heartbeat.

Does a TV have to support Dolby Atmos for Atmos to work?

From the movie I just watched, Thw Arrival, which has Atmos and Vision, it works great. We have it with fiber not HDMI.

Would this Soundbar be overkill for a 1BR apartment?

It is powerful! :) you can shake the floor with the sub alone. What I love about it though it that even when it is more quiet, I can hear dialogue and other things I would have to turn up on my other sound bar. If you can afford it, you can be set for where you love now, and also where you end up loving next. I love it.
