Excellent DVD!!!

This DVD brought back so many wonderful memories! I can remember watching "Mickey's Christmas Carol" every year when I was a child and the only thing different about watching it now was the clearer picture.

I also remember watching the short "Pluto's Christmas Tree" and as soon as it started it was as if I was magically transported back in front of the old family room console TV set in the house I grew up in.

I HIGHLY recommend this DVD to anyone & everyone. Whether for yourself, or for your children to watch - these cartoons are SO much better than the junk that's out there for our kids now.

What's great about it: All the extra Disney shorts.

What's not so great: Nothing.

I would recommend this to a friend!

The Gift of Love [DVD] [1978]

This holiday-themed drama, based on O. Henry's classic short story The Gift of the Magi, has been given a fine presentation for its DVD release. The Gift of Love has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1 and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono. The dialogue is in English; no multiple-language options have been included, but the disc does include closed captions for the hearing impaired. Bonus materials include biographies of the cast members and author O. Henry, as well as the text of the original The Gift of the Magi.

Wonderful Christmas Memories....

I bought this dvd for my mother after having a conversation about all the old Christmas specials & shows that we have watched over the years. It was during this talk when she said to me: "Yeah...but I never see that really nice Christmas movie with Marie Osmond in it - why don't they ever show that one?"
She told me it was her favorite movie to watch at Christmas time but she hasn't seen it in years. We watched it this year together and she said it brought back wonderfully fond memories of Christmases past.
You can't put a price on that....

What's great about it: A beautiful story

What's not so great: Nothing

I would recommend this to a friend!
