ViperAmpd22's Reviews

For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out. Featuring cutting-edge shooting mechanics for precision gunplay, advanced new Bullet Time and Shootdodge effects, full integration of Natural Motion's Euphoria Character Behavior system for lifelike movement and a dark and twisted story, Max Payne 3 is a seamless, highly detailed, cinematic experience from Rockstar Games. In addition to an expansive single-player campaign, Max Payne 3 will also be the first entry in the series to introduce a thorough and engrossing multiplayer experience. Max Payne 3 multiplayer brings the same cinematic feel, fluid gunplay and sense of movement of the single-player game into the realm of online multiplayer. Using the fiction and signature gameplay elements of the Max Payne universe, Max Payne 3 features a wide range of new and traditional multiplayer modes that play on the themes of paranoia, betrayal and heroism, all delivered with the same epic visual style of the single-player game.

Max Payne 1&2 were better. Needed Remedy.

Max Payne is my favorite Character and games, but not Max Payne 3.
Challenging Gameplay because it messed up on loading so many times that I had to continue restarting.
Only a review on Storyline.
If you haven't played the original Xbox Max Payne games then don't comment on this game. Max Paynes' character in this game is awful. The original Max would never do any of this. If you played it then I hope you know what I'm talking about. It didn't bring much of the originals back into the third. Its been years since the series came out. Game is predictable and the story was just another cliche. I have been waiting for this game for almost a decade and it did not deliver any closure or purity of gaming. Critics are getting lazy. It is not a 5/5 or a 10/10. Rockstar has officially lost their gaming touch. Graphics are nothing great. Sound is ok but just an awful storyline. Sorry for all the negativity but this game was a disaster. Bring the old Max Payne back. If there is another one, I'm sure it will take them another 10 years. No longer buying Rockstar games.
What's great about it: It's Max Payne.
What's not so great: Loading, Story, Mechanics, Annoying Characters, Hordes of unnecessary enemies. Predictable.

Was expecting more out of Fable III

I bought the Limited Collector's Edition so I could get the most out of Fable. The game never seemed to go anywhere. I wasn't thrilled with the story at all, not like in Fable 2. The maps are okay, but none of them are as good as the ones in the first Fables. It also lags quite often which messes up the jobs you do and whatever else you might be doing.
Story: Not what I had expected. As soon as you figure out what you are doing and what your a fighting for and against, you have already lost hope in the game. No crazy things to do like the "Spire" in Fable 2. The dog seems a bit more useless as well.
Also, jumped to far ahead in time.
Maps: Some of the maps are okay. Some of them are pointless and you'll be telling yourself " wow, this is really dumb, I'm wasting my time". One map being...(Mist Peak Valley).
Overall: Its an alright game. Not as great as the others. Not a 5 star game. You can do some cool things but they took to much out that they should have left in the game. It isn't long either. You can beat it several times in a week if you wanted.
I would recommend this to people who have played the other games in this series but not to someone who hasn't.
If you have played the other Fables then you should rent this first before spending the money on it. It gets old real fast.
What's great about it: Free roam, customize, new characters
What's not so great: Story, Maps, Lag, Difference in the series.

This is by far one of the top comedies in a long time. What really makes this movie at its best is T.J. Miller's role as "Stainer". This is a must see movie. If you like movies such as knocked up, forgetting sarah marshall and superbad. This movie will be added to your collection.
What's great about it: Comedy. Acting. Story. Plot. Lines.

Not what I expected.

I realize that people love this game. I am not one of those people. There is something about this game that I just don't like. The controls are horrible. The weapons are useless. I doubt it takes 12 shots to bring someone down. If you play Gears of War or Modern Warfare, than this game is not going to thrill you. I wouldn't give this a 9.3 rating such as other websites. I would have to give it a 7.3. This shouldn't even be up for game of the year either. Sorry. Wanted to like it but it didn't turn out the way I expected. Some thing needed to be changed. Ubisoft is a fantastic company. I don't know what happened on this game.
What's great about it: The story mode. Interrogations.
What's not so great: Weapons. Controls. Situations.
