It looks nice, that's for sure. It goes surprisingly well with my silver S7 Edge. I've only had it for a day or so, but its easy to install and remove. As far as screen scratches, I do have a Zagg HD screen protector on the phone, so it should be a moot issue for me.
That said, I wish Samsung would get it together with it's feature descriptions though. Based on other S View covers I've owned in the past, I was led to believe the clear version would be no different feature wise. The terms being tossed around such as "interactive", and "access to key features" are, in my opinion, a little overstated and also misleading. For instance, there is no access to the camera that I can tell. Being able to see the status bar on top is nice, but that's all you'll be able to do with it without opening the cover. That doesn't seem all that "interactive" to me. I suspect for some it will be much easier to answer/reject calls utilizing the entire screen as opposed to a little window on the standard S View cover. Basic functionality is there to mute, enable the speaker, and manage the call. If you need to use a automated system that requires number presses (i.e. press 1 for yes, 2 for no, etc.), you'll have to open the case.
Notifications for text messages will appear, but when you press on it, it will prompt you to open the cover. Also take note that these will only work with the stock Samsung apps.
The Always On Display does not work, which is a shame because I believe that with just a little more work, the cover and AOD could have coexisted. Perhaps they will at some point but at this time, it is merely wishful thinking.
So, while it is stylish, it seems a bit confusing as far as the description of the features, or lack thereof. Some will find it just fine, but at it's current price point, seems overpriced.

Nice Design But With Potential Compromises

This product has the wrong description. The capacity is 2,700maH. The 3400maH is for the Edge version.
The design is really nice. Very easy to put on and take off. Feels nice in the hand provided you can deal with the added weight. Adds virtually no length or width to the phone. However, I do feel you have to make some compromises here.
First, there is absolutely no front screen protection. I would strongly recommend using a screen protector to protect the front. If you don't normally lie your phone face down, it might not be an issue for you.
Second, the case will charge the phone wirelessly, BUT still needs USB in order to charge the case itself, which takes about 4 hours to do on a 2.1A charge. There is no USB cable included with the case. Fast charging is absent (wired for the case/wireless for the phone).
Third, there is some efficiency lost when compared to a wired charge. I placed my phone into the case with 50% battery left, and got it to 82% with minimal phone usage before the battery in the case died.
Samsung came very close to having a winner here, but in my opinion, fell just short.

But I have a 7 7/8" circumference head. These are not comfortable for me for more than an hour or so before my ears hurt to the point where I need to take them off. Other than that, they're great, but unfortunately will be going back.

Pretty nice case. But a couple of flaws...

Overall, this case will definitely serve the purpose, especially if you need something waterproof. It won't add as much bulk as one might think. But, as another reviewer mentioned, the charging port is hard to get to, but somewhat expected for a case with this level of protection.
The bigger issue for me is that the case does cover the speaker grill in the lower left corner in the back. It muffles the sound by quite a bit. If you're in a noisy environment, it will be hard to hear.

Excellent machine, easy to make into an awesome machine.
comes with 433 ac chip, i ordered a 866 chip, has an open m.2 sata slot, i ordered a 256gb m.2 ssd. Very easy to access these part with just a screw driver.
i bought this after i decided the 4k lcd machines just didnt have all the features i was looking for, touch screen, backlit key board with number pad, and discrete grafics.
has an infrared camera (which i didnt know when i bought it) that logs you into windows much faster and more reliable then the standard camera.
speakers are decent and usuable (good for a laptop, some are horrible)
only drawback i see is it only has 2 regular usb ports and 1 usb c, kinda odd on a 17" laptop.

Mic. issues
as of 8-26-15 im reading that the mic on this is terriblwe. Do you still have to download something to fix it?
New firmware update fixes the mic issues.
