Due to outstanding customer service at a local Best Buy retail location I was recommended to purchase this high level powered subwoofer to round out a recent series of upgrades to my home theater setup to bring it to the next level. The sub was on sale for the price of a Dynamo 500 which made this purchase a steal. The low end is super accurate, tight, no signs of distortion, powerful and crisp with both home theater and music applications. The sub looks awesome and sounds so much louder than it appears. The 300 watts of clean RMS power allows this awesome looking sub to excel in a sealed enclosure. No complaints.
What's great about it: Impressive and accruate low end
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!
Other Best Buy Products I Recommend
Definitive Technology - 3-1/2" Surround Loudspeaker (Each) - Black
This Definitive Technology SR-8040BP surround loudspeaker features two 3-1/2" drivers and two 1" aluminum dome tweeters for brilliant audio. Linear Response Waveguide technology smoothes off-axis frequency response and disperses sound over a wide area.
I purchased a pair of these Def Tech surround speakers for my home theater set up. I am matching these with a Def Tech ProCenter 1000, two Sony SS-K90ED towers, Denon 790AVR receiver and Polk PSW110 powered subwoofer to complete the audio components in my home theater that also includes a Sammy PN50C7000 Plasma. Given the position of these surround speakers (centered on the rear side walls) my listening experience has been enhanced. These Def Tech surrounds replaced a set of Polk T-15's, so a comparison is not even appropriate, without question I have taken the rear fill element in my home theater to the next level. I would recommend these speakers for anyone who feels they are missing something from the rear fill and staging aspects of their home theater listening experience. The performance is great and sound is crystal clear and accurate. The speakers look awesome as well. All in all the price tag that goes along with these is justified. Surprisingly these surround speakers are the most expensive speakers in my set up, primarily due sales I was able to take advantage of in the past on the other components.
What's great about it: Really completes the rear stage of a home theater set up
What's not so great: Price range for the pair is a bit on the high side but all in all worth it
The T15 are those bookshelf speakers whose high versatility is built to impress. Engineered with Polk's proprietary Dynamic Balance technology, they're primed to improve your home theater experience and take on your entire arsenal of tunes without fail. Think brighter highs, a wide-open mid-range and surprising bass response - the perfect entry into high-performance audio. What’s more, it’s easy to setup, supports Dolby and DTS, and connects to most home theater receivers, stereos or home theater processors. The best part is that it won't drain your wallet! Go big on great sound made for everyone. Add the T15 bookshelf stereo speakers to your home audio setup today.
Very good sound quality offering solid volume and range. For the price point, costed me $54 on sale, these speakers provide great fill and have added to my home theater setup. No problems or issues.
What's great about it: Great option for surround speakers for HT setup
Equip your home theater system with rich, immersive bass using this powered subwoofer that features a 10" Klippel optimized Dynamic Balance composite woofer and compression circuitry for smooth, low-distortion bass tone.
Very pleased with this sub for home theater and music applications especailly after break in period. I experienced improvement during and after the break in period with this sub and based on its price point recommend this product to provide the low end when considering your home theater purchase. Low distortion and no compliants regarding ability to provide a powerful booms and punch in a 15 x 20 home theater room. Pleased with the sound quality, could be tighter, but then again I would most likely have to be in a price point 3 to 4 times where this sub costed me, picked it up for $125 on sale. No problems or issues.
What's great about it: Price point, low distortion, power, sound quality

In my opinion the best center channel at its price point at Best Buy. Extremely pleased and contined to be impressed as this speaker breaks in. Previously owned the Bose VSC 10, which was a solid center channel and once replaced with the Pro 1000 noticed a difference and improvement, although not drastic, in range, clarity and volume. No problems or issues.
What's great about it: Full, realistic, clear, crisp and powerful sound
This Definitive Technology SR-8040BP surround loudspeaker features two 3-1/2" drivers and two 1" aluminum dome tweeters for brilliant audio. Linear Response Waveguide technology smoothes off-axis frequency response and disperses sound over a wide area.

Update
June 30, 2011
Replaced the Polk PSW110 powered sub with a new Martin Logan Dynamo 700 and still these Def Tech surround speakers are the most expensive speakers in my setup, but well worth it, as these speaks break in they continue to impress. The Def Tech surrounds are mounted 6' high up, across from each other, on the side walls of my home theater room 2/3rd's of the way down the sitting area thus this speaker design provides perfect stagging, imaging and fill for the conditions given the bipolar design. No problems, highly recommend. Until you try these you do not know what you are missing and how important the rear fill and stagging is to a successful and complete home theater setup.
