Great for Productivity, Not A Gaming Monitor

This monitor performs great if you know what you are getting. It’s a great monitor for everyday office use or to stream movies / TV shows. However, this is not a gaming monitor. As a weekend coder, this has become my new favorite monitor to throw VS code on because it has a lot of desktop space.

The product meets my expectations. I knew going in that this was not a gaming monitor. To test it though, I connected this monitor to my Xbox Series X and I have included the picture of the Series X read for this monitor.

I do like that the on/off button is easy to access with easy to understand navigation menu arrows. The color compared to my other monitors really stands out with nice darks and bright colors. Though this is a 4K monitor, I changed the output to 1080P for my needs. However, when I take a break while eating lunch, I switch to 4K to enjoy some streaming. Setting this up as a third monitor was a breeze. It works with my Mac and my Windows 10 PC.

This is a great second monitor or even third monitor for a multi-monitor setup. I approve and recommend this monitor for coders, office use, and design use. However, I don’t think this is a good monitor if your main purpose will be gaming in 4K. Works well for gaming in 1080P, though.

These glasses come with 2 pairs of lenses. One pair is polarized and the other pair has blue light filtering. To remove the lenses is as easy as popping them out with a bit of force using your thumbs and popping in the ones of your choice. The blue light filters were pre-installed. Connecting via Bluetooth to mobile devices was quick and effortless.

The performance of these smart glasses is phenomenal. I received the small/medium, but I have a large head. I usually look for frames that have a wider bridge length because of how wide my head is. Though these were small/medium, the temples extend outward for comfort. This means that you don’t feel them squeezing against your head, as they expand as necessary with movement. These were tested while hiking with the polarized frames on. The music was impressively loud but controllable with your mobile device.

The performance of these headphones is great. I was able to start listening to my music and podcasts in seconds and better yet, I had control of the audio from the left earbud. I could easily raise and lower the volume and I could pause my audio with the center button. Listening to music with a snug fit, I was able to hear all the beats as I performed my activity of choice.

The product meets my expectations. I do like that they sit comfortably in my ear without feeling loose. This gives me security that they won’t fall off, and they never did while I was using them. I used them as I walked on an uneven trail with rough terrain under my feet. At no point did I have to readjust them. When I returned home, they continued to work as they are sweat-resistant. From there, I plugged them into an iPad that we have on a kitchen counter wall that is used exclusively for streaming shows. It was great to hear my TV shows without disturbing my wife as she worked on her coding.

This Mr. Coffee machine is small to save countertop space, can be programmed to brew at a specific time (later), has an option for strong brew, advanced water filtration, and a reusable single cup coffee filter. The performance of this coffee machine was great. I prefer making my coffee with grounded beans while my wife loves the convenience of K-Cups. The K-Cup option is by far the simplest way to make coffee in this brewer. Simple pull out the handle and insert a K-Cup of your choice in the pod slot.

Whenever you want to use ground coffee you have two options. Option one is to use the included reusable K-Cup-like coffee filter. The second option is to use disposable filters to make a carafe similar to how we used to make coffee before K-Cups were a thing. This is a great option for when you have a family of coffee lovers or when friends visit you and you need to make more than a single serving quickly. Either option worked well and provided consistent coffee flavor.

The carafe does keep your coffee hot for several hours and the brew later option can save you time and it starts to brew your drink automatically while you get ready in the mornings.

The option to install to up to two other devices (a total of 3) was also seamless. To do that, just log in to your Norton account (you’ll have to create a free one if you don't already have one) on your second and third device and download the software again.

Dark Web Monitoring was an interesting and intriguing feature. You have the option to enter your personal information such as your phone #, credit card #s, physical addresses, emails, insurance #s, Gamertags, a driver’s license, and your mother’s maiden name. Doing so will run a one time historical dark web check to see if your information has been leaked or is at risk based on what’s already out there of yours. I had 7 Dark Web Alerts that showed me what website exposed my information, what kind of information of mine was exposed, and the potential next steps I could take. Indeed, these were websites I accessed years ago and I didn’t remember, but luckily, they were all based on data that is now irrelevant.
VPN works like a charm allowing me to select the location that I want to be publicly seen as. I set my IP address to an Italian location. To test it, I went to Yelp to try to order delivery to me based on location and it opened up Yelp in Italian. Easiest VPN I’ve ever used.
The password manager syncs up with your existing password manager, if any. For me, it has been synching up with my free Google Password manager. Google’s password manager isn’t that secure, as a quick Google search can help you download a user’s website and passwords into an excel file (I’ve done it for myself when I lost data from one computer to another). Norton requires you to type a Parent Password that they clearly tell you they will not store for you. This parent password can then be used to log into websites you frequent by typing the one password. It’s an extra step, sure, but definitely more secure.
If you’re a parent, you can use the parental controls to see what devices have logged into what websites. To do this, you have to install Norton 360 in their device, say a phone, and after the installation is complete, you can then monitor the device's activities. You can choose the level of security you want, such as moderate or high, based on the age of the child.

The product meets my expectations with one caveat. As a gamer, I played games on Xbox GamePass for PC, Steam, and Epic Games Store. I was looking to see how a gamer-unique feature would work, but I didn’t see it in action. This feature is part of their notification optimization (only works on Windows). The way the feature should work is that Norton would tell you if you aren’t using a feature you’re entitled to. This would include free DLC or other things available for your game. I didn’t find a way to activate this manually, but it could also be that I wasn’t entitled to anything from my existing games. That, however, is a minor thing compared to the rest of the features. One last thing I want to mention is that, with other malware/virus protection products, they usually push other services of theirs on you. In fact, most of the time, in other products, the VPN is an extra premium feature they want you to pay for. In this case, the VPN works like a charm. If you’ve never used a VPN before, what it does is tell people on the internet that your location is somewhere other than where you actually are. With a quick Turn On/Off button, it doesn’t get any easier. If you want, you can change the region to a specific location.

The setup of the Shure MV7 mic was quick and easy. In the box, you get the most basic things that you need to get up and running, the Shure Mic and two cables, one that’s USB to micro USB and one that is USB to USB-C. It can also be connected with an XLR cable, but that’s not included in the box.

The key features for this microphone include auto-adjust levels when using the software and a USB connection and buttons on the mic to raise/lower volume for sound mic monitoring settings. You also have two removable screws if you plan on using it as a podcast mic and need to install it on a table stand, though the stand is not included.

I really enjoyed the quality of sound that I got back when compared to my older mic, which is of similar price range. Of course, I wanted to get feedback from my viewers, so I decided to run the mic through OBS and stream a game while using the mic. Some of my loyal fanbase pointed out that I sounded different. I asked them if this was different in a good way or different in a bad way? I’m glad they said that my voice was more crisp and clear. I then revealed the mic to be a Shure MV7. In fact, I have a fan that likes to make content of my streams. She sent me a video of a stream I made a week prior to owning this mic with my intro (which I repeat mostly the same words) and the stream that used the Shure MV7 mic. I was clearly able to hear what my fans hear, a lot of background airy noise with my old mic and a clear sound with my Shure.

The product exceeds my expectations. I was really stunned by the ability to auto-adjust levels when downloading the free Shure software Motive Desktop. In the Motive app, under the auto section, you can select whether you have the mic near or far, have a dark, natural, or bright tone, and create presets for various projects. Though you do have the option to manually tweak the settings, I decided to leave it on auto so that, as the manual says, I can focus on my project and not the mic. It adjusted the levels so well that on my livestream, it wasn’t noticeable that I forgot to turn off the sound from my laptop. Where with my older mic, on the livestream I would have sounded like I had an echo or was saying everything twice, the Shure mic did a good job at not duplicating the sound. I’m starting my second podcast this summer, and of the three mics that I own, this one is now the chosen one to run with that new project.
The product exceeds my expectations. I was really stunned by the ability to auto-adjust levels when downloading the free Shure software Motive Desktop. In the Motive app, under the auto section, you can select whether you have the mic near or far, have a dark, natural, or bright tone, and create presets for various projects. Though you do have the option to manually tweak the settings, I decided to leave it on auto so that, as the manual says, I can focus on my project and not the mic. It adjusted the levels so well that on my livestream, it wasn’t noticeable that I forgot to turn off the sound from my laptop. Where with my older mic, on the livestream I would have sounded like I had an echo or was saying everything twice, the Shure mic did a good job at not duplicating the sound. I’m starting my second podcast this summer, and of the three mics that I own, this one is now the chosen one to run with that new project.

The performance of this lock is hands down the best I’ve experienced. This is my third smart lock. The previous ones, though they served their purpose well, always left me wanting a feature or two that I think would improve the experience. Eufy seems to have taken notes and created a one-solution for all your smart lock needs. First of all, I don’t need to pull out my phone to unlock my door. My finger is my key, and I always have my fingers. The fingerprint is recognized rather quickly and I can use it to both, lock and unlock my door as I leave or arrive. You can also have multiple fingerprints saved on various profiles. I programmed 3 fingers, 2 from one hand and 1 from the other, and I set up my wife with her own fingerprints. I tested the keypad just to see how quickly it recognized the # and it works immediately as well. I was able to set up 3 different 8 digit numeric codes, one for me, one for my wife, and one for a person who will take care of my cats while on vacation. Because of this, it keeps a nice detailed account of who is entering the house using what code as well as failed attempts and the time stamps the attempt was failed.

For most of us, computers are a part of our daily lives now. As an educator, I use a computer for longer than 8 hours daily. I immediately tested it with what is most intensive for me: planning. I had charged it the night before and used it for my entire workday without needing to charge it. This included Zoom meetings, training videos, grading, planning, and overall not allowing the screen to go dim or turn off.

Being a Chromebook, this is a perfect machine for people who rely heavily on the Chromebook suite. I now completely rely on Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides more than I do their paid counterpart from Microsoft. This Chromebooks works flawlessly with all of these programs.
The slim design and lightweight heft of this Chromebook makes it very portable. I took advantage of the 2-in-1 design and brought it to bed where I streamed some shows. The sound was more than decent for what I expected a Chromebook to sound like. The QLED screen (Quantum dot LED) makes all the colors in my shows stand out without being overtly bright. The darks are not faded in the shows I watched and I found it an enjoyable experience.

These headphones are great at what they are supposed to do: actively cancel noise. If you’ve never used noise-canceling headphones (ANC), this is a great pair to get started with. My wife is a singer/vocal coach. As she was practicing and warming up, I put on the headphones without even listening to music and I couldn’t hear her even though she was in the next room. I walked over to her while wearing the headphones. Being right next to her, it sounded like she was very far away. Once I turned on my music, I couldn’t hear her at all. I wanted to test these in another loud environment, so I went to my gym where I was sure to find people grunting, weights hitting the floors, and machines whirring. As promised, the headphones actively canceled all noise and I was able to enjoy my movies while working out on an elliptical. With a quick charge of 10 minutes giving me up to 3 hours of use, these are now my headphones of choice for the gym in case I forget to charge them overnight.

Aside from that, they charge with the included USB-C cable and have a backup auxiliary cable in case you ever run out of battery or want to use them in an airplane. Using the auxiliary cable, I connected them to my Xbox Series X. Though the mic doesn’t work for that, I enjoyed my single story gaming content with these. They feel comfortable when worn over 3 hours and didn’t bother me even when wearing my glasses. Phone calls do sound phenomenal, as I was told by the family members I called and the ANC helped me focus on the conversation as opposed to the dishes I was washing. Finally, they have an embedded Tile, which is technology that allows you to ping them using other Tile customers in case they ever get lost/misplaced/stolen. Pairing with Tile was also a simple process and I feel confident that if I ever forget them or lose them, I can track where they are.

Destiny is the only console game that has held its replay-ability over the last two year AND STILL going strong. Destiny is the flagship games for consoles. It is by far, a MUST HAVE for ANY console player. I'm fixing to buy this as a gift and a few more for starting friends. The game is honestly the best game to come home to every night.
There is so much to do in Destiny, it'll seem overwhelming at first. The economy is booming, so many quests, loot, strikes, raids, bosses, prisons, etc. Bungie is an amazing developing company that is community focused and dedicated to amaze the players. The YouTube and Twitch community is outstanding and never ceases to amaze me. Recently, the Destiny community raised over $500k to St. Judes hospital. The game is thriving like never before. Make memories, make friends, have fun.

Dolby Atmos works with any stereo headset. I already tested it and it works.

You don't. It works with the Xbox One X/S and the Xbox Series X/S. You can buy a separate transmitter and use the same headset with the PS5.

Yes. Under the wheel base, there is a connection for a shift stick. It is not included in the unit, but you can buy it separately. You can see the shift stick icon in the picture I am including at the lower left side.

They do work with Xbox because of the included auxiliary cable. However, you won't be able to take advantage of the customization EQ options from a PC. That being said, if you have an Xbox and Dolby Atmos, then you are in for quite an experience.

I need a web cam for a presentation for a a showing on Facebook. The web cam will be on a screen from a projector going to Facebook live. Would this be the web cam to get or should I get a different one?
If your camera will be aiming at a screen projector, then make sure that the room is dark and that the lighting in your room doesn't change much change much. Use the software to turn off the automatic focus features and as long as people don't walk in front of the camera, it should be fine. Though this is possible, it is not the ideal way to show something on facebook that requires people to look at what's being projected. Might I suggest you look into OBS, a free streaming software. With OBS, you should have the ability to stream to FACEBOOK and switch back and forth between the WebCam feed and the presentation, meaning that the people watching on Facebook will see the clearest presentation because it's as if they were there in the same room with you. Depending on how much time you have to learn OBS, you may have to use the Webcam the way you want for now, but try OBS for a future presentation. You will love it.

Can I use an external microphone with this camera? If so can you tell me how?
I use it with OBS and in that software, you can use the camera but change to a different microphone. All you have to do is mute the camera's microphone (it the camera settings in OBS, you'll have that option) and plug the microphone you want to use and make sure it isn't muted.
