Now returning second unit, both are defective

Warning! Do not buy this unit at any price.
We were very excited when we first purchased this convection microwave combo just before Thanksgiving 2014, however the controls for the first unit were defective, after 1 1/2 month of troubles we replaced the first one with another one (January 2015) and almost immediately the second unit has also shown the same problems.
We intend to return and buy a different brand.
Problems we have:
Control pad buttons sometimes fail to sense you are pushing them, this pad is a glass panel type. We have a GE Profile stove with the same kind of buttons and it has worked flawlessly for over 10-years, there is nothing to physically push down so we do not know why the buttons on the Samsung unit does not work, the only solution we have found is to give up, go away and try again later.
Turntable on-off status randomly activates or the work surface lights randomly turn or off, same with the vent fan. Sometime does this on its own, but mostly when you are pressing buttons to do something else
(The turntable on-off, fan and light are their own buttons so pressing something like MW cook should not activate them)
Sometimes the wrong menus pop up (not correct for the button you pressed) for example set clock sequence might start when you are pressing the start cooking button.
The strangeness goes on and on.
Both units have exactly the same problems - each was purchased from different stores so this appears to be a general quality issue with Samsung. Customer service claims not to have heard of control panel issues before, yeah right!
Check the web, many other buyers report the same problems.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can you bake with an actual cookie sheet (small 9 1/2 x 13)?
Wondering if this will both fit in the micro and if it will cook correctly? It seems like the circular tray will only bake maybe fries for 2, but I cook for a family and wouldn't ever cook an amount that small. I know it will cook a whole roast, but it seems like it will not cook a good family sized amount of something that needs to be spread out on a tray, ie chicken tenders or cookies. So just wondering if a cookie sheet can be used.
Yes, an actual cookie sheet of the size you describe would fit. The oven comes with three different heights of racks so you can bake a variety of items. When the oven is working correctly it bakes pretty well, however the experience we have had with the Samsung OTR MW-convection oven has been two units failed within the first 1 1/2 months of use, so I would not recommend you purchase this product.

Can you purchase installation with this purchase?
Yes, you can purchase installation.
We installed the first unit ourselves, but purchased installation from Best Buy when they did the replacement of the first unit which was defective.
Second unit is also defective so we are going to return outright for a refund and get a different brand.
I would not recommend the Samsung OTR Microwave-Convection combo.
